Anyone near Lexington, there's a place here (which is rare for a small town like this) called Malone's. It has like 40 beers on tap, and almost all of them are microbrews. They change it up every week too with different specials.

RFD in the District has a ton of taps. Bushwaller's in Frederick has 18 taps, mostly imports.
RFD's sister bar, the Brickskeller, has an extensive beer list (http://www.lovethebeer.com/beer-list.html), to the point where you have to order 2 or 3 different ones because they may not have what you want that night.

Wow, Baltika on tap?! The last time I had that stuff, I got TOASTED on it. The alcohol content is INSANE.

Dogfish's IPAs are awesome. Go to the Alehouse in G'burg and drink everything off their taps. I love going there. Their light beer (Lawnmower Light, because the guys who created it likened it to the type of beer you'd want after cutting the yard) is really good. But their IPAs have an awesome bite to them.
Nothing better than beer off the tap. But a bottle or can chilled in a cooler over ice is a very close 2nd.
I love there chickadee stout or whatever its called.

That list is their bottled stuff. Brickskeller doesn't have but a few taps. RFD has like 40, and it's always rotating.

Chicory Stout is really good. Their Punkin Ale and Snowblower Ale is really good too. AMD, they have a 120 minute IPA as well, and it's a knockout.
They also have their own flavor-infused vodkas, rums and tequila.

Ahhh. Next time I'm up that way I'll check them out. We went to so many bars last time I was up there on a business trip I forget which ones were which.

Also, for some reason I think beer tastes so much better if it's been chilled in a cooler full of ice rather than a fridge. I don't know what it is, but I'd much rather keep beers on ice than in the fridge.
Even better though, is pulling your sixer out of a cold mountain stream.
Head for the mountains!

Head for the mountains!Damn, that's pretty nice. I've been known to leave beers out on the deck when it's snowing.
But when I was talking about the whole cooler thing I was visualizing an ice cold beer on a hot summer day at the beach.

LOL, the beer on a beach thing reminded me of a story that really belongs in the College Stories thread, but I'll tell it here anyway.
Just before graduation we all head down to the Outer Banks for a week. We called it beach week, but a lot of colleges call it your traditional senior week. So we rented a house right on the beach and the whole nine, and we've got kegs on the deck and everything. So at like 4 am finally people are starting to pass out, and my buddy and I are like we should be drinking on the beach right now. So we pick up one of the kegs and carry it down to the beach (it was almost empty so not too heavy). No cups, we're just passing the tap back and forth. So we end up passing out for a couple hours and I wake up at like 7:00 am, and I've got no idea what's going on so I stumble back up to the house and flop down in bed. But I left my buddy down there by accident. He woke up at noon and came back to the house. He was BEET red with sunburn, and a few hours later developed blisters. Basically he drank himself into some serious sun poisoning.
He got all mad at me for not waking him up, but I'd like to know who would count on someone who was up drinking straight from a keg until 5 in the morning?
