It would be better than taking a QB from some obscure university that had some career records even though they had no real good qb's ever in their university history. Ie: Tulane.

What are we going to do at DE?KLHJ2 04-27-2007, 12:44 AM It would be better than taking a QB from some obscure university that had some career records even though they had no real good qb's ever in their university history. Ie: Tulane. True! BeastsoftheNFCeast 04-27-2007, 12:46 AM Man you guys are crazy, i cant tell if you are joking or not. Yes we havent had solid qb play recently, but as I recall we have a guy who looks like he will be solid in Jason Campbell. If Quinn dropped to us and we took him, i might quit being a redskins fan because that would be one of the dumbest moves. Quinn would be more of a project than Campbell due to the fact that he will be a rookie. We also have a horrible defense that we need to adress in the draft. Crazyhorse1 04-27-2007, 12:47 AM Drafting an end won't matter, because as Coach Gibbs has stated, there isn't really a starting position on the team where a rookie could come in and perform better than the established vets... :laughing2 Total nonsense that Gibbs probably believes and will follow through on to the detriment of the team. Gibbs is a guy who started Holman for two years and played Brunell ahead of Campbell, as well as Ramsey; and let a number of quality players go for nonsensical reasons-- thereby suceeding in destroying the team three years in a row. I believe Gaines Adams (if he gets a fair shot) can't beat out Daniels at 34 years old like I believe I have a chance with Angelina Joli. Also, the notion that Okoye would have to sit for a year or Calvin Johnson needing to sit for the sake of anybody but Moss is beyond ludicrous-- which, of course, doesn't mean that Gibbs wouldn't sit them for the sake of his BS security needs; because he would. jsarno 04-27-2007, 12:52 AM Man you guys are crazy, i cant tell if you are joking or not. No, I think you're just jumping into the middle of a conversation that has been going on for a couple days / several threads / and even some PM's. We both feel that we need a DL or DE. I'm just saying that if we are going to be dumb and take something other than that, at least take someone like Quinn. It's dumb, but it's less dumb than taking a WR. Okoye needs to be our guy...only if Adams is gone. KLHJ2 04-27-2007, 12:53 AM Man you guys are crazy, i cant tell if you are joking or not. First of all, I am not saying that Campbell is bad. Second, you always take the best available player, we could always trade him. Third look at Joe Gibbs's draft history. He took a QB in the draft every two years during his first tenure as head coach. He is due to draft another. Fourth, Joe firmly believes in not passing up on a first round caliber QB. We are only saying that if he is still available at six, take him, trade the pick or draft for need. BeastsoftheNFCeast 04-27-2007, 12:59 AM sorry for jumping the gun on you guys. It actually doesnt seem that bad once I got my initial reaction out of the way and thouight about it. I mean I still wouldnt do it because we need help on D like there is no tomorow, but I see possibility in taking him, we can trade him for alot, or if we like him we could possibly trade campbell for alot (once again, Im not saying I want to do this, Im just saying that it is a risky move that might pay off in the long run) jsarno 04-27-2007, 01:01 AM sorry for jumping the gun on you guys. We have no viable back up plan. No, Brunell and whats his name aren't good back up plans. KLHJ2 04-27-2007, 01:03 AM That, and the fact that if Campbell doesn't work out...well, we're just skrewed. I have this ugly sinking feeling that we are going to take some peice of poo QB in the later rounds. Kind of like that kid we took out of Indiana (hamden) a couple years back that never played a single game.
