ArtMonkDrillz 05-04-2007, 09:47 AM ESPN.com: Page 2 : Bill Simmons Blog (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/blog/index?name=simmons&entryDate=20070501) Bill Simmons is spot on, but I guess you could say the same thing pretty much happened to LT and San Diego this past season. jdlea 05-04-2007, 10:29 AM HA HA! I love to see that. I only caught the last few minutes of the game, it's difficult to describe that kind of elation. Dirk with 8 points in a loss to a team that didn't get into the playoffs until the final night of the season. Seriously, MVP? Are you kidding? He didn't show up in the playoffs and they wouldn't have won 67 games without Josh Howard or Jason Terry! MTK 05-04-2007, 10:30 AM I agree about the Chargers comparison to a point, but let's face it the NBA regular season is pretty worthless. Winning 14 games in the NFL regular season is still a pretty tough thing to accomplish. SmootSmack 05-04-2007, 10:44 AM I agree about the Chargers comparison to a point, but let's face it the NBA regular season is pretty worthless. Winning 14 games in the NFL regular season is still a pretty tough thing to accomplish. I don't really see the Chargers comparison. I mean didn't they lose to the Patriots? That'd be like the Mavs losing to the Spurs Plus, that's one game. Anyone can lose one game. Over a 7 game series the better team should win. ArtMonkDrillz 05-04-2007, 10:49 AM Well I guess I should have maybe said that the team melt down in general was similar and not limited it to the league MVPs (assuming Dirk wins it). I know it was only one game and I know the Patriots were a lot better than the Warriors (relatively speaking), but neither team could live up the hype. They both looked dominant going into the playoffs and yet they both got bounced in embarrassing fashion. dmek25 05-04-2007, 03:52 PM is it just me, or has everyone else had their fill of Stephen A Smith? the guys a total douche hooskins 05-04-2007, 11:49 PM I hate Stephen A, he is beyond annoying. Half the stuff he says isnt even amazing, he is just loud about it. He is like Jim Rome, but louder. EARTHQUAKE2689 05-04-2007, 11:59 PM i think it is awesome. f... everything in dallas. the mavs are my fav team and i hate the way they play in the playoffs |
