Bottom line, ESPN predicts the Patriots to dominate next year, kinda like they predcited the Buckeyes to win the BCS championship, and the Mavericks and Heat to dominate the NBA playoffs this year. Oh wait, and kinda like most of the ESPN analysts picked the Chiefs to upset the Colts to win in the first round of the playoffs this past season.

Right, and they picked the Skins to win the NFC East before last season.

I don't know why, but when I read the title of this thread, I thought there'd be pics of all the hot babes Brady has access to these days.

I thought the exact same thing. I figured this was a thread about Bridget Moynahan and Gisele Bundchen

NE sat on their pile of money for years and with BB won three super bowls:

Now they have spent up pretty big, as well as aquiring one of the most talented WR's in the entire league and we are debating if they are going to be better?!

It is a drastic change of tact from the Pats, which is one reason they are getting soo much coverage and its all positive because they had plenty of room under their cap for a great LB and only gave up a 4th for Moss; even if he doesn't work out, they've not really lost anything too valuable! They've had a flawless off season, thus far.

It seems fairly certain that they will be better, with Moss, alot better! Surely the deep threat of Brady to Moss and Stallworth, will hold most safties and that should open up things for Moroney, who looked good last year. I think the threat of Moss is enough to change a defence, at least until its known which Moss turns up at the Pats (Vikings or Raiders Moss).

All I have to say is that when the media believes a team is going to be great, they usually suck....

Reasons why I think Moss will be motivated:

--Belichick is a master motivator, if Moss can't rebound in New England he's not going to rebound anywhere.

Agree, and I predict no rebounds for R Moss this season.

All I hear about on ESPN is how great the Patriots offseason has been thus far. It seems like evey commentator is on this team's nuts and it's blasphemy to say something negative about them. Well here is what I think of the Patriots' new and improved receivers. We'll go in order from crappiest to least crappy.

1) Kelley Washington - Who is Kelley Washington? This guy was a stud at Tennesse, but since then, what has he done in the NFL? Wait, I know, NOTHING! This guy played four season for the Bengals, and the most yards he ever had was 378, and doesn't even have 1,000 career yards. But hey, he does have 9 touchdowns, which is good if you want to be better than Wes Welker (see #2). Laron Landry is going to steal this guy's lunch money.

2) Wes Welker - My man Wes has had 2 touchdowns in the NFL, with low receiving yards. He may be a decent return guy, but he's no Devin Hester. Nothing to be scared of. Plus, he's 5'9 185lbs. So unless he can run like Santanna Moss, which I doubt, this guy better get ready to take a beating come October 28th.

3) Donte Stallworth - Donte Stallworth has a cool name, but guess what, he doesn't have a cool game. He does, however, have an attitude problem, and mediocre numbers. He's not bad a player, he's nothing great either. He's a deep threat guy like Moss, he doesn't want to get hit. Taylor hits this guy once and he's not gonna want to play anymore. To me, he's a speed demon, but doesn't bring much else to the table.

4) Randy Moss - This guy is a wild card. He has had great seasons in the past, but nobody can say for sure if this guy can still play. I do know that's he's getting old, and probably cannot do the same things that he used to. I also know that him and Taylor battled it out in 2004 when we beat the Vikings the last game of the season. Taylor has gained more experience since then, while Moss is entering the second half of his career where a drop in the level of production normally occurs. I see Taylor winning the deep ball matchup here. Plus, we all know he doesn't like to get hit.

You are also leaving out the number one pick from last year Chad Jackson and a stud TE.

Bottom line is they have Tom Brady. No one spreads it around like he does. Plus the guy sees the entire field. I mean if they pick up one more first down against Ind. they are playing in the SB. And they would have been playing with some hammy down WR's. So the guys they have now are upgrades. Then you add in Randy Moss. I know a lot of NFL teams would like to have Moss, Stallworth and Kelly Washington/Chad Jackson. I would rather have that threesome then Moss, Lloyd and ARE.
