He was coming off a career year and teams like Green Bay, Buffalo, the Texans and even Atlanta may have been willing to throw more money at him than we paid for him. I've heard this said about another player and I think it holds true with Cooley...if the 'Skins can't find a way of keeping him here...then I don't want to hear another word out of Gibbs, the FO, or anybody else about "Core Guys" and "True Redskins."
