I'm so tired. Was at a conference, finished around 1, got back into the office and I can hardly keep my eyes open.... and you guys are boring today.
Exams? Wait until you get a real job..hesscl34 05-09-2007, 03:46 PM I'm so tired. At least when you you leave for the day you are pretty much done. Plus in school I worked and went to school. Schneed10 05-09-2007, 04:00 PM School and work both have their stresses. School is pretty much stress free for 10 months out of the year, especially for the six months (SIX MONTHS) you have off for summer and winter breaks. But all the stress for the year gets packed into the month leading up to finals. Work is stressful year round, though generally not as intense as exam stress. But I've been in meetings where I've had presentations due to the COO and CFO, and they've wanted answers on everything. That can feel like a final exam because those honchos aren't happy when they don't get an answer to a question. College kids have it made. Don't ever graduate. MTK 05-09-2007, 04:20 PM I agree work and school both have their own stresses. I think school stressed me out more though. With work I can leave it all behind once I get home for the most part, with school you can't do that. When I graduated last year for months afterwards I couldn't get out of that school mode of thinking, I couldn't help but thinking constantly ok what paper do I have to write this weekend, or what test or presentation do I have coming up. FRPLG 05-09-2007, 04:23 PM College kids have it made. Don't ever graduate. A truer statement has never been made in human history. To everyone in college: This is it. It is all downhill from here. Oh sure there are many joys in life to come but not a one will rival the sheer unbridled lack of responsibility and the opportunity to screw around that college does. Enjoy it while you can and stop complaining about finals because they are a small price to pay for what can easily be described as the greatest time of your life the rest of the time. Daseal 05-09-2007, 05:28 PM From someone who has worked full time and gone to school full time, work takes the cake. Sure it may be repetitive, but there's something about not taking work home with you that fits me better. I'd rather know I can do whatever I want in the evening and weekends. jdlea 05-09-2007, 08:24 PM From someone who has worked full time and gone to school full time, work takes the cake. I've worked full time while I went to school full time, there's no comparison, work is 10 times easier. I have never had a hugely demanding job, but I have never had to go home and spend 3 times as much as time on homework as I did in class. I can say that I would take work any day out of the week before college. hooskins 05-09-2007, 11:06 PM Yeah work is stressful, but atleast you make money. KLHJ2 05-10-2007, 01:34 AM I will take school over this any day of the week and twice on Sunday. hooskins 05-10-2007, 01:39 AM I will take school over this any day of the week and twice on Sunday. obviously being young without commitments on a college campus is great. But finals times is beyond stressful. This kinda shit is what gets you hooked on coffee in the future and causes you to lose hair. Seriously the amount of stress this week is pretty insane. |
