Cox Cable + NFL Network?

That was the major beef the NFLN had with the cable companies. NFLN wanted it added as a basic cable channel like ESPN, while the cable companies wanted to add it to a premier sports package so they could charge extra $$ for it.

Screw cable, go with DirecTV if you can.

Matty, you're sugar coating it from the NFLN's perspective. They wanted to get on the regular list, but still wanted cable companies to pay a high price for their network. They either need to accept less subscribers and have it a pay channel or decide to cut back their prices.

I'm getting Cox cable, and I didn't see it anywhere in the signup list.

I know that in my area we had Adelphia but that recently switched to Comcast. They will also be offering NFL Network but only on that Sports Package and it says it wont be avaliable until 6/20/07.

Daseal,

I'm in Fairfax, too and I get NFLN on Cox digital cable as part of the sports & entertainment tier. That tier is free if you get the phone, internet, digital TV, DVR package through Cox. I think I pay around 115 a month for all four.

Interesting Cooley, is it the Sports tier you can pick when you get one of the 2.00 dollar packages? I thought so, but I didn't see it listed. I'll have to talk to them. I really need to get my fix!

Thanks Cooley.

No sweat. As the holder of the high score of Quarterback Challenge I have to remember to give back to the community. :)

yeah you're right, I wasn't try to make the NFLN sound like the victim, I just glossed over that.

what is cox? never heard of it

Cox is the cable co., ripping off...I mean serving the greater Hampton Roads area.

The pricing continue's to jump every year at a much faster rate than average inflation, don't know how much longer we will continue to pay this kinda cash for their service.
