Here's my thing about Samuel. Had anyone hear of him prior to last year? I know I hadn't.
Wasn't he one of the starters on one or two of the SB teams? I remember one year when Ty Law was hurt and I think it was AS who stepped in and played well. I think this past year he got a lot of pub becasue of the 10 int's. But he's been around for 4-5 years. He's put his time in and deserves a long term deal.
He really broke out last year, but yeah I knew about him before last year.

That's what I've been wondering. I was wondering if it was a one season type of deal that has people salivating over him throughout the NFL.

i was watching NFL live, and John Clayton said the chances of this happening are slim to none. and really a non issue to redskin fans
It may be a "non issue" to skins fans, but I find NE's situation this year definitely intriguing as a Skins fan because they are trying their hand at bringing in old, expensive vets just like we have, though not overpaying as much as the danny in 2000.
This is one more thing that makes the 07 Pats sound like the 00, 04 & 06 Skins; a guy they drafted has yet to get re signed, while they've already signed free agents Moss, Thomas, Stallworth, Graham & others. It's not their style, yet they are throwing everything in this year.
I see some problems on the horizon for them, plus we have to see if Brady is the same qb now that he's a 'baby daddy.'

Wow, I didn't realize teams other than the Redskins have problems.
Len Pasta-belly didn't write the article.. If he did I could imagine him saying, 'Samuel is waiting for a team like the Washington Redskins to offer NE a 1st, 3rd and a private jet for his services. Me hungry, need gruel..'

I just hope the Redskins don't fall for such a player. Sure he's good. But NE players are good because they have the best coaches in the league and a solid TEAM mentality. I admire Bellicheck for sending money whores outta town and winning Super Bowls with 'first Gibbs era' kinda players.

Samuel is a great athlete, but if he thinks hes irreplaceable, hes about to find out just how wrong he is. And it's got nothing to do with the "Patriot Mystique" or anything of the sort.
As dominant as Samuel looked against IND last year, his metrics per KC Joyner (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/columns/story?columnist=joyner_kc&id=2831709) aren't all that impressive. Means they should be able to stick someone in at that position with no noticible dropoff.
