And now we know the rest of the story.

That was sort of Paul Harvey-esque wasn't it?

I've read all the Far Side Galleries

Ah, yes. I forgot to mention having read the entire 40 lb. Calvin and Hobbes compilation collection.

Lonesome Dove was a huge deal when it was on. Robert Duvall's performance is among the greatest of all time. I love it when he says to Robert Urich?, "He's going to find a tree to hang you from, son." Masterful.

Everybody I knew, and I mean EVERYBODY was watching that show.

I never took a course in philosophy in college which I regret. I'm starting to really like it and I'm particularly fond of Baruch Spinoza.

My dad's Ph.D. is in philosophy so I was introduced to stuff like Spinoza relatively early. Bet you can guess what his job is.

Hey AMD- did you read Palahniuk's swimming pool story? Talk about sacrificing to get a rush!

Ha, yeah. That was the story that made a bunch of people pass out/puke when he gave public readings.

If you want to read something really gross by him read the first story, 'Testy Festy' in his collection "Stranger Than Fiction." The worst part is that it, and everything else in the book, is a true story.

Yeah, I heard about that... I'll definitely check it out. I think someone told me that he actually saw his dad shoot his mom and then himself when he was a kid... that's enough to mess you up, but at least he took his experience in a productive path- albeit twisted (which is cool by me).

Almost, it was actually his dad who saw his father shoot his mom. The only reason why is father wasn't shot his because he was hiding under his bed (It was very similar to Sawyer's story in Lost, only in real life). The cover of Stranger Than Fiction was inspired by that event, it's creepy when you think about it:

Chuck's own father was obviously screwed up, and I'm sure that influenced his life. In fact, his father was eventually murdered by the ex-husband of a woman he seeing.

Like I said in my first post, he's my favorite writer so I've read up on him, basically through wikipedia and some of the stories in STF.

This will come to no suprise to most of you but I read my Bible everyday nowdays. I've been consentrating back with the 4 Gosples. I figure Jesus was only around 33 years, only preached and taught 3 of those and never wrote anything down. I love reading his Words from people that were with Him and knew Him. I love Bible quotes and I now love His even more.

I figure when a subject or situation comes up and Jesus says something about it I'll start there with my answer searching.

If any of you wants a Bible and does not have one I will buy one and mail it to you for Free.
