Somewhere in Internetville, Earthquake2689 is wondering why he didn't think of this thread first.

The battle lines have been drawn by Redskin Rich now it seems. How will Quake respond?

Oh HELL NO.... I still have my battle on simmer with _nn on players getting paid to do a autograph deal.... I can't fight a war on two fronts... I am to much a student of history to try that.

Also..never get into a land war in Asia.

...or go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.

Maybe we could get him for Jason Campbell straight up? Would they go for that? We might have to throw in a second round pick or Ethan Albright or something like that.

No if we are going to invest in Campbell, stay with Campbell
Why the hell do we want a walking injury on our team? JC is our man with the old vet Brunell as the backup guy, with hopefully one of the young guys at #3. Culpepper is dreadfully slow and just a waste of space anymore.

But wait guys. When was Culpepper at his best? When he had a certain reciever named Moss. We got a Moss. That's all the logic I need.

Actually, I think we should have gone back to having Trent as OUR QB, and we could all trust in Gus as number 2. JC could :benched:

I am not convinced that Culpepper is washed up by any means but there is a rather measurable risk with him as well as some daunting indirect risks. The indirect risks like shuttling the development of Campbell and so forth are what really make me against this.

There is a reason that they traded for him one season and can't wait to get him out of town just one year later too.

Geez, I would take on all comers in the Wash Post Skins message board forum just out of boredom with the JC vs MB debate, etc I would come up with conspiracy theories about the refs and the Skins, etc. Anything to have some fun with those guys. Oh man those were the days!!! The Post doesn't update the threads too quickly anymore.

I don't see a reason for another QB, who's gonna need a full year under his belt to learn the daunting 700+ page playbook, then sit on the bench
