i think the last guy to come in and contribute right away at a decent level was Ahmed Brooks the LB from UVA went to the bengals a year ago or so. Of course the knock against him was the off the feild issues... so of course the BENGALS got him (to replace Odell?) but he has managed to be one of the few guys on that team to stay out of trouble

Who knows - he may be a developmental guy. If you like him, bid a 7th rounder. Otherwise, just wait see if he gets drafted and sign him as an OFA.

I'm sure they have their eyes open, but it needs to be the right circumstances. I'm not sure that a 24 year old rookie with a history of back problems is what they're looking for.
