Just to clarify, it wasn't porn that caused my dad to have an affair. He simply became distant and started hanging out with more of a partying type crowd. There was a women who pursued him relentlessly until basically he finally caved in.
I was assuming that was not the case. I was just using porn to make my point. See my previous post, I edited it a bit to clarify some more.
But Lady Brave, that must have been a tough time for your family. I can only imagine the pain it caused, and I do understand what you are trying to say. I don't fault your mother for his cheating, I think she did the right thing by moving on. I also dont think what your father did was right. I guess your father might be an example of a good person that made a bad mistake.
I guess every case is different.

Well, I am a firm believer in you reap what you sow.
My mother pulled herself up, raised two teenagers on her own and sacrificed her own happiness for a time to make sure her children were well cared for. Since that time my mother married a wonderful man who treats her far better than my father ever did. She is better off physically, emotionally and financially than she ever dreamed she would be.
My father never recovered from the ordeal is still riddled with guilt, but he continues to blame everyone else for his faults. He's suffered two heart attacks and is currently on his third marriage.

At least you know what you're getting if you go on sugardaddyforme.com. I've date some seriously broke chicks and let me tell you, they don't advertise their brokenness. It's almost given that I pay I guess.
One chick I dated a few years ago ask me for money so that she could go out and have dinner "by herself" after I told her I had other plans for the night. The f'ing nerve!
Personally, I think every woman should come with an explicit EULA and warranty...lol

Love is painful and love lost is even more painful. Looks like your mom ended up getting into a better situation. It's all really a matter of happiness. I firmly believe if you're are miserable in your relationship it's best to part company.
Of course you have to accept and live with your decision. Obviously when children are involved it is a lot harder but staying together for the sake of the children is just not good for ones mental health.

Understood, but that has nothing to do with this thread though. Either way, it's her decision not to be involved in this thread anymore. That's cool with me. It's an interesting debate she started, but perhaps not the best way to start it.
It is an interesting thread.. too bad I can't feel comfortable posting what I want without thinking I'm going to get attacked/judge for it..
