Yeah, but no one has a real reason to dislike him. The same ole argument is that he is from Cali, or he wins too much.

Yeah, he's come a long way since his exide 99 car.

Gordon's not very approachable from what I hear. But who knows, I can't say without meeting him myself.

Well, I wouldn't want a slew of fans and people around me either. His whole life there are millions of people around him.
I would wager that Stewart is the same way...especially in the way he treats the media.

Far from it, TS is extremely approachable. It's what I've been telling you for over a week now

Yeah, but you work for ESPN.

He didn't know I did the first time I talked to him. Plus I've seen him around others who are just fans and he's very talkative to them

Did you see 24X24? They talked about how Gordon just acts like one of the guys, and how approachable he is. Of course it's a DVD so it's view is skewed, but still.

Yeah, and of course that's going to be biased and I'm certain wasn't released without Gordon, Hendrick Motorsports, and NASCAR reviewing it first

I don't know, like I said I haven't met him. He never seems to be around when I'm at a race. And I've heard mixed things. I would love to meet him of course...provided his wife is there too :)

LOL...I'm not sure I want you to meet him.
It's like what I said before, I like being a silent and distant fan. If he's a prick, then it would tarnish my view of him. Hard to imagine him as a prick though...he had rave reviews from everyone on SNL for his guest appearence there.

I've learned over time from working in sports as a career to separate the athlete from the person. Some of my favorite players have become my least favorite people and vice versa. It used to bother me, but then I said to myself why should it? I'm not looking to these guys for guidance or support? I have my dad, my brother, my mom, sister-in-law, etc. for that.

It's only natural though...it's hard to route for an asshole. (ie: Bonds)
