With our current talent evaluators (and Im speaking about guys taken after Rd 3) I would go for using a 5th on Gaithers now that Ive read some about him. I just don't think the current structure can evaluate talent after the 3rd round anyway, why not?
Golston & MOntgomery made the team last year as 5th & 6th rnd. picks, and while they've yet to prove anything, many praised the skins (which is unusual) nabbing Sartz & Blades in the 5th & 6th this year.
If what you mean is that the mgmt. structure is such that the right people aren't making the calls on draft day, I don't know but you may have a point, given what's been said about the danny's meddling. But I"m not ready to say that if we commit to the draft we won't start seeing some results. I think we will, even beyond the 3rd rnd.

oh, I do agree though that he may be worth a 5th, but I think the staff will want to keep the vets they have for depth this year, see how things work out & draft some o linemen to develop next year.

Baltimore snagged Gaither in the 5th round. PFT was right on this one.

I have no faith in the Scouting Dep't of the Skins, or in the draft picks utilized by the FO, to select quailty talent past round 3. Yes, Golston & Montgomery made the team, but IMO that speaks to our incredible lack of talent on the D-line more than their respective abilities. I think on most teams, those guys don't even make the squad.

Gaither went to Baltimore in the fifth round.
I think that's a great pick up for them because I could definitely see him taking over for Ogden in a year or so.

PFT, actually got something right...?

Golston would definitely make most teams in this league, maybe not as a starter but as a #3 DT in a rotation he's a quality backup.

If you throw enough turds at the wall one of them is bound to stick.
They probably ripped off another source anyway, that's all they seem to do.

That's about the size of it, even a blind squireel get's a nut every now and then...?
That describes PFT pretty well....TURD!
