Operation BBQ - Now Taking Donations!

Hi folks,

I hope everyone has had a chance to read about what Sammy Baugh Fan (Mike Hedrick) is doing for our wounded troops on August 15 (http://www.redskinswarpath.com/parking-lot/18664-payback-operation-bbq-for-our-troops.html). Everyone can agree that this is a truly great thing. Mike has dedicated his time, money and efforts into making this a successful "Thank You" to our troops.

To pull this off, it will not be free or even cheap. Conservative estimates are in the $2-3k range. Mike is willing to bear this burden, but I do not believe it should all rest on his shoulders.

Many people have PayPal, so I am going to ask that for people who wish to do so, wire your donations to me at chris@skinsfan.us
Every little bit helps. He said that even $5 buys 75 buns. Mike does not have PayPal, so I am volunteering my account for this. I am local to Mike and will try to meet up with him around the the middle of August to present him with a check for the donations received.

As a slight incentive, I will donate $5 for every donation received via my account.

Now, back to work as this is gonna be big. The cost of 260 chairs, three tens and a stage and sound system I was told is $6,000. Do what?!?!?!?! Oh heck no. we'll get that cheaper or donated.

See what I'm up against? And we have'nt ever started talking about food yet.

Sammy Baugh Fan, I had mentioned some thing about maybe getting some pork donated but I struck out on that as I spoke with the guy the other day.

I'll will donate a $100 and challenge any skins fan to donate what they can. If you will PM me with an address and who to send a check to I'll be glad to send the money.
