Another Season of Redskins Football on The Warpath

Good job by the Mods & it definitely is the best Skins fan site. I often look here before going to the Wash post & other news sources, cause you can usually get all the links from here, plus multiple threads on each by Quake!

We're just a few days away from the start of training camp and yet another season of Redskins Football!! On that note, I would like to, on behalf of the Warpath Front Office, welcome back all our Warpath veterans and extend a warm welcome to our rookie class of 2007.

For those of you new to this, there is nothing like going through a season on the Warpath. There is always someone to share your joys and agonies with, to bounce ideas off of, and learn a little something about football and the Redskins. It's blissfully wonderful when they win and excruciatingly therapeutic when they lose.

All that being said, the Warpath Front Office would also like to remind everyone that it's time to get serious. And that means we're going to start cracking down. Don't worry, we're not going "TB Mod IV" on everyone here (Unless absolutely necessary).

But we are tightening the reins now. That means we expect everyone will cut back drastically on the hijacking of threads, posting of duplicate threads, posting of nonsensical threads, and creating posts just for the sake of creating posts. We understand, of course, that it's not entirely avoidable. But repeat offenders will be dealt with accordingly.

We don't do this to be tyrants, we do it because we want everyone to be able to thoroughly enjoy this site. This is, without question, the best Redskins fan site and we intend on keeping it that way.

Again, being on topic, I'm all for a fun atmosphere around here. But I do think rules need to be enforced to ensure that the core discussion here remains Redskins-related. When rules get laxed, guys start hijacking locker room threads, or having what amounts to AIM discussions within those threads, and it runs a good thread right into the ground. If those rules aren't enforced well, then this ceases to be a Redskins board and we end up with a bunch of guys just chatting about whatever in any old thread.

I'm OK with the "hardass" reputation, that doesn't bother me. In the end, the mods' upholding of, and the membership's respect for, the rules is a big part of what makes this place so great, in my humble opinion.

All good points - BUT if a thread is Off Topic then leave it alone and keep you two cents to yourself... :-)

There's really no need for any debating or discussion here. The simple message is the season is upon us and it's time to get back to business around here. Please review the forum guidelines (http://www.redskinswarpath.com/announcement.php?f=2) and just ask any of the mods if you have any questions.
