Did anybody watch him in the ring???
How Dumb Does Pacman Jones Think We Are?EARTHQUAKE2689 08-10-2007, 09:52 AM Did anybody watch him in the ring??? BleedBurgundy 08-10-2007, 02:07 PM not one mention about the bouncer that is now paralyzed. he basically said he hasn't changed. That's the best point I've seen in this thread. Someone is PARALYZED and you're bitching about how you're misunderstood. What a fucking idiot. Cowell 08-10-2007, 02:10 PM I'm not trying to defend Pacman because what he did to that bouncer is awful, but I mean you can take a man out the "hood", but you can't take the "hood" out a man. I don't live in the hood but I increasingly believe that statement. BleedBurgundy 08-10-2007, 02:12 PM I'm not trying to defend Pacman because what he did to that bouncer is awful, but I mean you can take a man out the "hood", but you can't take the "hood" out a man. I don't live in the hood but I increasingly believe that statement. And you can justify just about any type of action with a statement like that. At some point, no matter where you come from, you're a man, and you're responsible for your own actions. Period. Cowell 08-10-2007, 02:19 PM Look, I didn't say that he wasn't responsible. In fact he is probably even more responsible because he is such a high-profile athlete. I think that he and a lot of athletes now-a-days think that they have to "keep it real", and keep up the gangsta' persona. Or he could just be a TOTAL moron, or both, does anyone know if alcohol was involved? BleedBurgundy 08-10-2007, 02:25 PM I think that he and a lot of athletes now-a-days think that they have to "keep it real", and keep up the gangsta' persona. Agreed, though I don't think I'll ever understand the mindset. jsarno 08-10-2007, 02:26 PM i also saw the interview on NFL live, and Adam Jones comes across as someone who really could give a rats ass about any of this. not one mention about the bouncer that is now paralyzed. he basically said he hasn't changed. but i do agree with grim, that would have been an easy six for Jones VERY GOOD POINT! He just doesn't have any remorse for anything he has done, and it shows that his mind is waaaay off. I wonder what this kid would do if he was banned from the NFL permanantly? I really see him in jail somewhere. Maybe a thief, maybe a rapist, who knows, but I know he is mentally "off" and those people are capable of anything. jsarno 08-10-2007, 02:29 PM I'm not trying to defend Pacman because what he did to that bouncer is awful, but I mean you can take a man out the "hood", but you can't take the "hood" out a man. I don't live in the hood but I increasingly believe that statement. Well, you "can", but most don't want to because as someone pointed out, it's the persona they enjoy keeping up. Being an NFL star, life is easier on them in terms of what they do off the field. If he was a regular person, no athletic ties to anything, his ass would be rotting in jail. SmootSmack 08-10-2007, 02:30 PM Some good news for Jones: ESPN - Pacman tackles 1 legal issue, has tickets dropped - NFL (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2968804) jsarno 08-10-2007, 02:41 PM Some good news for Jones: ESPN - Pacman tackles 1 legal issue, has tickets dropped - NFL (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2968804) This pisses me off: "I knew the truth would come out in the end," Jones said No, the truth did not come out, A LOT, and I do mean A LOT of citations are dismissed in court for no other reason than to cut the guy a break. Does he think the cop was singling him out? I doubt he was! Jones seems to think he's above the law, and this is just another case. |
