It's nice being the underdog, maybe just maybe a few teams will be dumb enough to over look us just as most all reporters do, after a season full of injuries.
We will right the ship, and be a contenter! It's times like these where Joe is at his very best at getting the most outta his teams.
Daseal 08-10-2007, 10:19 PM I'm with jsarno, I don't remember many people giving us much of a chance because they considered 2005 a fluke. Considering we had to win 5 games in a row to get a wildcard birth it wasn't the most convincing run to the playoffs.
skinsfan_nn, while your optimism is nice, I don't think many teams are overlooked in todays NFL. Even the worst team is supremely talented and can beat you if you don't prepare. The preparation for each team each week is what is most mind blowing about this sport to me. I hope you're right and that we are a contender, but I really need to see if our offense can score consistently and keep putting points up even when we have a lead.
All I'm saying, is I understand our placement in the power rankings, and I can see where fans of other teams and the media is skeptical of this Redskins team.

We haven't been hyped since our last superbowl really. 1999 we were and we made the playoffs, so it goes to show if people think we suck, then we do.
I'm just hoping to change that around. We have enough talent, and coaching to do it IMO.
CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 08-11-2007, 07:01 AM we have some talent. Our dline not that great. Oline is getting up in age. Only one WR you can count on if he can stay healthy. Still raw at QB. Were ok but need to upgrade this roster by draft picks not FA>
dmek25 08-11-2007, 08:20 AM the margin of winning and losing in the NFL is very, very slim. a few breaks means the difference between winning 10 games, compared to winning 6. any team that stays healthy, has a legitimate shot at a playoff run, if they get the right breaks. hopefully, the skins will get some breaks

We deserve some. We sure had some shitty luck last season. More than our share IMO.
Cowell 08-11-2007, 10:50 AM Actually, the way I see it is we got some really good breaks last season. We played like crap, but in those close games we got a lot of breaks.
