I just talked to the "manager" for three hours and he got to know my bi+chy side real well... He tried to pull some crap about how I picked the paint, and he can't help I don't like it. So when the painter got there I made him go buy another quart, bring it back and re-paint a corner wall, and guess what? After it dried IT MATCHES THE COLOR PAD!! Sooo, the first set of paint WAS wrong!!! They will be repainting on Thursday!!! NO extra charge. HA!
... So I guess I feel a little better about being taken advantage of...

Monkeydad 08-14-2007, 02:26 PM It's a huge room with 18ft vualted ceilings and sky lights. I had to hire someone to reach all the way up there, or I would have done it myself. What pisses me off is that I woke up this morning and it is STILL YELLOW!!!!! They are going to have to fix it... I can't stand it! AH!
Keep the yellow and put up some burgundy crown molding and carpet. You'll win every "Warpath Cribs" contest we ever have.
saden1 08-14-2007, 04:04 PM $1150? Is it a paint job or a mural? It couldn't possibly take more than 5 hours to paint "one room with a loft and vaulted ceilings." Did you shop around or just pick the first guy in the phone book? Also, did they base-coat the wall first or just paint over it. And is the paint included in the price or did you pay for the paint separately?

You guys are making me SAD!! I really feel like I got taken. BUT, I got three different quotes and his was close to the lowest! I didn't want to pay the cheap one becuase I didn't think he'd do the work right. I did not pay for paint - that was included. It was for 2 coats on the walls and one on the ceilings, two different colors...
