Biggest name so far is Butler. I had a feeling about him getting the axe. I don't think I heard his name called once through any of the exhibition games.
Come to think of it, there hasn't been much from Macklin either.
What kind of contract did they give Butler? It was well above the veteran minimum if I recall.
Appears that it was the vet. min.

Bunch of scrubs, only heard of Pinkston and Kevin Jones, and that is the Kevin Jones on the Lions!!!!! Things won't get interesting til the final cut.

Butler is surprising to me, looks like Ade Jimoh will make the team yet again.

Yup, I was actually surprised to see Butler's name on the cut list. I like UFAs like Ade, but I'm finding it difficult to see how he justifies his roster spot - seeing as he is basically just a good special teams guy.

I know I will be in the minority here, but I actually feel sorry for Pinkston. I always kind of feel bad for former high picks who fall from grace. It's got to be tough to go from a 2nd rounder, to being cut, to working out while no team wants to sign you, to being unable to even hit the field in two preseason games with us.

I don't know if "sorry" is the right word, but I do think it can't be easy for any of these guys to be the best on their teams all their lives to then find themselves fighting for their jobs in front of millions.

I hear Pinkston really struggled to learn the offense here. They threw him a copy the playbook...and he ran away from it
Doug Gabriel would be a nice addition here and would seriously challenge Thrash for that 4th spot.

Doesn't Gabriel have all sorts of attitude problems? Also... it's troubling that he couldn't make the Raiders...

So how does that work, exactly? If a player doesn't make the team, how much of that $595k are they entitled to?
