Sheriff Gonna Getcha 08-28-2007, 09:33 AM Yeah, Newman was quoted as saying that it will affect his play for the entire season and that he cannot plant his foot without pain. The Cowboys are definately going to have to double Moss on every play since Anthony Henry isn't fast enough to keep up with Moss, Glenn can't cover him, and Newman is injured. I likey.
dmek25 08-28-2007, 09:37 AM anything that benefits the skins, I'm all for. and Newman is a top 5 corner

DAMN! That's a real shame. Definately disturbing to hear that. Heartbreaking stuff to have to carry on with a banged up secondary...............can't wait
TheMalcolmConnection 08-28-2007, 09:50 AM I disagree. I think he's totally overhyped because people looooove to pick on the other corners.
sandtrapjack 08-28-2007, 11:28 AM Ellis: Still recovering, I think he is done as a Cowboy
Burnett: Bone Spurs removed, will be back in time for the opener
Newman: Planter Faciates, held out of preseason, will be ready for the opener. Yes I am concerned about this one, only Aaron Glenn and a list of "hopefuls" for depth. Which ain't sayin much!
WR Glenn: returned to practice this week, will play in opener. Had his knee scoped a week before camp started (negative).
Gramattica: Pulled hammy in warm-up at Texans game, being held out of final pre-sason game. But Folk(R) has not missed a FG or XP during practice, camp or preseason and could really challenge for the job. Grammatica has missed 2 FG's and an XP in preseason action.
So there is your update on your rival team.

I watched the replay of the Texans/Cowboys game on NFL Network. Your 1st team defense looked like crap!

Believe me their defense will show up in two weeks.
I've been following the Ellis injury, he has doubts whether he can play again.

I had no idea about Gramattica - this could be real big
Monkeydad 08-28-2007, 12:38 PM Also, Tony Romo has been diagnosed with a rare condition which causes him to sweat butter instead of normal human sweat. In high pressure situations, his palms sweat like anyone else's, but the butter-like composition of his sweat makes normal actions more difficult. His condition will be monitored throughout the season.
