Just from hearing his brief interviews, I would guess that Kendall would get the highest Wunderlich score on the whole team right now. Whatever age has taken from him, he will more than make up with in brains. I also think he's probably got a mean streak if you look at the way he faced down Mangini and the Jets, which is a great attribute in an O-Lineman as well. He could probably poke some one in the eye without the refs seeing it. Nice.
Yeah, I get the impression he's a bit of an asshole too. In the right way though:) We could definitely use some of that "nasty" on our offensive line. Sometimes I got the impression that Dockery (and not because he's not here) was a little soft. I'm liking this guy on our team more and more.
I tell you the Jets? Man it might be just preseason, but it looks like Chad Pennington has taken a step back. But who cares.

The whole thing with Kendall vs. Mangini could have been an episode of Seinfeld. He demands more money, they stick him in the rookie dorm. They make him play center, he botches a couple of snaps. It's a good thing he got out of there or at some point the police may have been called in.
I just remembered. It's not Seinfeld its Walter Matthau and Jack Lemon in "Grumpy Old Men".

Are you serious? They put him in the rookie dorm room? Oh you know this guy is going to be a little Conrad Dobler this year.

There's no way you risk him like that.
Add in the fact it was raining a bit too.
Can you imagine the disaster it would have been if he got hurt playing in the 4th quarter of the 4th preseason game??
I just think playing alot more then a series would be very beneficialy for him. Once Palmer was put in then take him out.
Id rather see Kendall get hurt then have him blow a assignment in week 1 or 2 and see JC get hurt.
Every preseason game JC has played in, besides the couple of minutes he played last night, he has had issues holding on to the ball. I really think D's are gonna gonna do a lot of pass rushing in hopes to get a trunover or two, untill our oline has enough cohesion to easily take pass rushes, or until he gets good enough on throwing the ball away or holding onto it, or they become forced to respect our passing game.
With the extensiveness of Al's playbook I just hope Kendall doesnt mess somthing up when taking on a Pass rush. For right now hes gonna be the weak link in our o line.
Maybe me just over thinking.
Whether he played more last night or not isn't going to make or break his season.
He's a smart veteran player. I'm honestly not even worried about him being able to fill in and do a good job right from the start. It will help him out even more once Samuels comes back and can help him out on the left side.

Yeah, he just doesn't strike me as one of those that's going to need three weeks to acclimate. He'll be better in three weeks, but he won't "need" it.
Since he's smart, I wonder if he fight his guts out?

The key will be when Samuels gets back. I think our line is in much better shape, especially when Kendall and Samuels have had some practice time together....like ..all next week before the Dolphin game.

I've also heard he's tough, and a "heck of a football player".
