The kid that hacked the phone got a free car and a consulting gig with some IT company. And the hack opens the phone up to T-Mobile only.

I think there's already been a hack so you can use the phone on any service.

Not "any service" , the only other major carrier that uses At&T's older style network is T-mobile. So the hack would allow you to move to T-mobile or a small list of smaller regional carriers.

No doubt. I was referring to the fact that Apple just cut the price of the iPhone by $200. What has it been out for? Two months? I'd be pretty unhappy if I had bought say, a 360 for $400 and then two months later they drop it down to $200. I think it sends a message to customers to give it a little while before buying the newest products. (unless money is no object...)

At $600 sales weren't jumping like they expected. A lot of people definitely felt sucker punched but then again if you were stupid enough to pay $600 in the first place you only have yourself to blame.
