Johnson is a 4-3 DT and has limited to no exposure to the 3-4. Also, no matter what (or IF) team signs him, he still has to sit out 8 games AFTER he signs. So if someone takes a chance on him and signs him in week 12, then he will not be active until week 5 of the 2008-09 season. Ratliff did fine in replacement. He has been playing at NT for the past couple of seasons in relief of Fergy. He is not a big NT but effective. He gets great penetration up the middle and recorded a sack on Sunday night, and had 3 in the preseason playing NT. When Ward broke those big runs...it was away from Ratliff and right at rookie Anthony Spencer.
