I don't know about you guys but I hope sean take 36. I think that number just looks good on him. It also would complement lavar's 56 nicely in my opinion.

Right! and Portis' 26. I wonder if Taylor didn't speak because he was afraid people might ask him about the KWII situation out in Cleveland

dont get me wrong, i dont think he's another "Ricky"...but a shy personality isn't common amost top picks in the draft...so i was wondering you guys thought he was shy or something else

especially a talented player coming from Miami Univ., lol. It's not like that school is really known for introverted people.

But I think right now he's still a little cheesed about the way the media treated after the rookie snafu and maybe he's worried about having another prank pulled on him while he's talking to the media and is keeping his guard up, lol.

Just want to take a moment and defend Ricky Williams. Why is he a bad person or have mental problems b/c he walked away from a game/job that has already made him set for life ? If his wealth is managed properly he will never have to worry again about money. If he had stayed in the NFL he would have been suspended for God knows how many games or maybe even the season, been on the cover of countless rags and been harassed and made fun of on all the late night talk shows (okay he may already be there.) Why should someone have to endure that for smoking marijuana on his own time in the offseason. Do you know how many people smoke marijuana in the US alone? Recent estimates put it at 25 million!!!!!

I met and worked with him last year on some tv spots and I was totally impressed by this gentle giant. He was totally in shape and ready for the season with no hint of pro athlete arrogance or holier than thou crap. He really seemed to be together.

Frankly I really admire what he has done. Basically he has told the NFL to stuff it, How much money does the NFL make off of Ricky Williams yet they were all set to ban him from the game for some unspecified amount of time. I like the way he turned the tables.

kinobom:

If Ricky Williams wants to retire and smoke MJ with yaks as he seeks the key to enlightenment, good for him. You'll get no outrage from me about his decision to quit the NFL.

However, you imply that the NFL was exploiting him and making millions off him. Not so.

Do you really think that NFL revenues are going to crater this year because people are going to spend their money and their TV viewing time doing other things AND THAT the reason they changed these behaviors is the absence of Ricky Williams? If the NFL were actually leveraged on a player or two, it would have gone belly-up years ago.

The NFL will turn the same handsome profit in 2004 that it has in the past several years; the Dolphins will also show a profit without him. The NFL did not exploit Ricky Williams; they paid him for his efforts in such a way that he should not ever have to hold a paying job again unless he wants to. He made a lot of money; the league made a lot of money. That is called a partnership not an exploitative relationship.
