I think it has a lot to do with where I live. Let's just say I live in an area where the George Lopez show is LOVED and adored.
A retirement home?

A retirement home? BDBohnzie 10-02-2007, 01:35 PM The show is great and the addition of Danny DeVito only made it better. I'm not a huge follower, but I do watch it from time to time, and haven't gone away unhappy with it. EternalEnigma21 10-02-2007, 02:29 PM I think it has a lot to do with where I live. I didn't see jsarno, then again I wasn't looking. Monksdown 10-02-2007, 03:09 PM I think you have to enjoy a certain type of humor to enjoy it. It's outta control, and I love it. Im just a Danny Devito fan i think. The writers exaggerate every character. It's just what i've been looking for. Easy laughs later at night when the concepts can be little more grimy. I loved the sweatshop episode with Danny D instructing on the proper "fear" technique needed to manage a sweatshop. They had a steam whistle for crying out loud. I didnt think those existed outside of cartoons. Monksdown 10-02-2007, 03:12 PM I was just down there this weekend. I didn't see jsarno, then again I wasn't looking. I am sorry you had to visit my hometown. I will remind you that despite my best efforts, our local government has made it nearly impossible to education illegal children. I love the long term vision. So now the 40% of us that don't speak English, will also be uneducated, and thus more prone to being criminals because we wont be able to find work. That's the royal we, not the inclusive we. I don't want to start up a shit storm here but I'll just say I agreed with the point being made by that sign and I think it's a damn shame that's happening to them. jsarno 10-03-2007, 01:25 AM A retirement home? LOL. I live in an area that when you go to a movie rental store, a movie like "kickin it old school" will take up an entire wall (50-75 movies) but a movie like "We are Marshall" they only stocked 7. I live in an area that graduates, on average, 15-20 illiterates a year. I would wager the top rated show out here is likely on MTV. jsarno 10-03-2007, 01:27 AM I am sorry you had to visit my hometown. I might be misunderstanding you here, but it appears you are all for hard earned US Tax dollars going to ILLEGAL people. Is this correct? MTK 10-03-2007, 09:30 AM I might be misunderstanding you here, but it appears you are all for hard earned US Tax dollars going to ILLEGAL people. Is this correct? Why not, we're employing them, right? Seems a little hypocritical to want to put them to work but not provide them with basic services such as health care and education. | |
