Well I said it before and I still stand by it, I think there a bit overrated, but just because of the opponents they have faced, and the same goes for New England, it would be unfair to say the Cowboys are overrated without including the Patriots as there opponents have been quite weak also. I dont know what to make of Dallas yet, until they play a quality opponent, i stay on the side of overrated, but if they beat New England, then they are definately for real.

Hello, like everyone is saying, the Cowboys have played basically the same teams we have other than philly and blew them out of the freaking water, so how can you say we look strong, tough schedule, and say dallas is overrated, with a weak schedule. I can't seem to understand some freaking fans. I am wondering if they are football knowledgable at all when people keep saying crap like this.

I'll check my math when you check your analysis.

You STILL failed to answer the question! If the Dallas opponents have the same crappy win loss record as the Patriots opponents, then why is Dallas over rated and New England is not?

According to your post that is precisely what you based your synopsis on.

Your the one who brought up the Patriots. This thread is about the Cowboys being overrated, why do you need to talk about the Pats? I didn't hear you mention the Colts or the Packers, they are also 4-0. This thread was solely about the Cowboys and the W/L record of their opponents. It has nothing to do with any other teams. But to bring up the Patriots you'll get your chance in week 6.

I think the reason many, including him, think the Cowboys are overrated and the Patriots aren't is because EVERY year, including last, they were Super Bowl contenders. Last year, people weren't thinking about the Cowboys winning it all. Now some are saying yes.

The difference is that basically the opinion of the Pats stayed the same, while the opinions people have of the Cowboys have changed based on a few games. The Pats only added firepower in the offseason, while the Cowboys basically maintained the same people on both sides of the ball. They have a few key losses, which I believe makes them more overrated than the Pats.

Uh no...if you read the VERY FIRST post in this thread, you will see the originator mentioned the "perennial favorite" the Patriots in comparison to Dallas. And that is the post that I replied too.

i am not even going to debate this with you. The cowboys are not as good as the patriots and its that simple. Nothing more nothing less.

Based on what exactly?

I am not saying that you are wrong, or right. But what are you basing your opinion on?

There are some football smart people out here. And those others are just wearing the burgandy and gold shades all day long. the Cowboys are a damn good team. Here is the difference between them and us. They beat the team they are suppose to, and not only do they beat them, they dominate them. We are not on their level, just as we are not on Indy, or the pats level. I am sick of seeing Skins fans who where blinders, that all is great in Redskin land. Open your eyes and see it for what it is. We have struggled to win the games we have, against bad if not awful teams, and lost to a team that quite frankly was 5 or 10 minutes away from completely giving up 3 games into the season. Dallas is gaining confidence with every freaking TD they put up on the board. And for the guy who said he agrees w/ Skip Bayless - I usually dont go off on a tangent about a writer, but I believe that guy is off his rocker from time to time. I have watched him several times and he is just out there with some of the crap he comes up with. I wish Greg Anthony would have punched him between the eyes when he had the chance,
anyway, Dallas is NOT overrated. So radio show guy...whoever you are....that is just ridiculous. The cowboys have won, keep winning, will probably go into the Pats game 5-0. Just as they should have, winning every game, convincingly, the first 5 weeks. The skins on the other hand, well we have seen our first 3 games, not a lot on convincing going on there!

Some good points you made here, but they didnt really dominate the Giants.

Where did I say we look strong, because I know I didnt. I wouldnt consider a team that gave up a 14 point lead in the second half to a struggling team "strong". Dont put words in my mouth, I just think its hard to judge a team that has beat struggling teams, and I feel the same way about New England that I feel about Dallas, but never have I said were better than the Cowboys, because right now, thats just not true.

I guess hes basing it on the fact that New England has been perrinniall superbowl contenders for about the past 6-7 years, they have earned the right to be feared. I have given you a hard time about the cowboys, but never did I say they suck, right now there the best team in the NFC. Romo has played great and really limited his mistakes and Marion Barber is looking like your back of the future, I just want to see them play a good team, thats all.
