freddyg12 10-09-2007, 09:59 AM Give Dallas props for pulling it out. Folk was the mvp, that onside kick & the game winner twice. Also, the Dallas D has found its form, though against a weak offense. They were quick to the ball & didn't give up anything deep. Sacked edwards a few times too. Their D bailed them out big time, at least 3 times the Bills got the ball in good field position but ended up punting & missing a fg.
I said it in preseason; the dallas d could be really good. They're starting to look like a killer d the last 2 weeks & they get Tank next month.
The positive side of this game for us is it shows how fragile Romo can be. GW already has a scheme in mind I bet.
SmootSmack 10-09-2007, 10:01 AM Some of you guys are homers to no end. The Cowboys are good, can't you see that? And what is this bullshit about, they have to beat NE before they're considered a good team? Really, losing one game to a great team means the Cowboys are pretenders? It makes no sense. I'm not defending the Cowboys, but we can be irrational sometimes.
Listen, if Buffalo can't ante up after 6 turnovers, it says more about them than the Cowboys. Romo had a bad game. The Cowboys had a bad game, and they still won. You're going to win a few ugly ones. And the arugument about the combined records of their opponents means nothing to me. You have to strap on your helmet and earn it every Sunday in the NFL. At kickoff all that shit goes out the window. They're still undefeated. It's really that simple.
I completely agree that the Cowboys shouldn't be disregarded simply because we hate them. They're 5-0 and you can't take that away from them. That said though, the Bills came into the game decimated by injuries on defense and their QB was starting his 2nd NFL game ever. So you have to take that into consideration as well

I completey agree there. But also know, the Cowboys know damn well they had no business winning this game. And I'm sure they'll go back and treat this one like a "loss." Or at least they should.
With every game that passes, Romo's post game interviews and pressers are leaving a really bad taste in mouth.

You are right, the only reason that Dallas won is because of how good the D played. I am not sure that a lot of Cowboys fans realize that Buffalo only scored 3 points, only a FG. They can make the kicker, the onside recovery the players of the game, but it really was the D who stepped up and didn't allow a young and rookie QB beat them.
That being said, I knew that Dallas would have a horrible game this season, just didn't expect it to be this soon. I hope they learned from this. Romo let the media hype get into his head, he was awful to watch last night.
TheMalcolmConnection 10-09-2007, 10:20 AM The Bills also left a LOT of points on the board. They would consistently get into FG range and/or the red zone and then get penalties or stall the drive SOMEHOW.
Buffalo couldn't have gift-wrapped that game any better.

I see your point, but if you think about it, Romo and TO were the only ones who played bad last night. It wasn't like everything had a bad game, I think the D had a huge game.
Chief X_Phackter 10-09-2007, 10:22 AM Romo was really inconsistent last night. I thought the Bills would pull it off, but I have to give props to the Cowgirls for hanging in there and winning a tough game on the road. They could have easily given up after the third or fourth or fifth pic, or the fumble, or the interception for a TD, or the other interception for a TD, or the kickoff return for a TD, or the timeout just before Folk made the first FG...
Bottom line is they were very resilient. Their D kept them in the game, and they overcome as much adversity in one game I have ever seen.
I can't wait until November 18th.
When I went to bed last night I think the score was 24-13 and I knew Dallas was going to win somehow.
Buffalo is a bad team and bad teams find ways to lose games like that.
GMScud 10-09-2007, 10:39 AM Combined record of Cowboys opponents thus far: 6-18. Let's see what happens next week. I can't wait to see New England rip them to shreds.

GM, I hate to beat a dead horse, but let's say the Cowboys beat the crap out of the Pats, and turn around the next week and lose to Minnesota. What good is that stat at that point?
