Chief X_Phackter 10-12-2007, 01:53 PM Yeah, they had an effect on 20% of those teams ratings. That doesnt make the point invalid. I don't believe I said the point was invalid. I'm simply saying that Green Bay helped to inflate those stats. Monkeydad 10-12-2007, 01:55 PM Anyone feel like showing us what the Lions first opponents pass defenses looked like? Lions' opponents: Wk. 1 - Raiders, 22nd pass, 26th overall = 284 passing yards (Kitna) Wk. 2 - Vikings, 30th pass, 18th overall = 359 passing yards Wk. 3 - Eagles, 21st pass, 9th overall = 393 passing yards Wk. 4 - Bears, 26th pass, 23rd overall = 215 passing yards Wk. 5 - SKINS, 8th pass, 3rd overall = 76 passing yards :benched: GridIron26 10-12-2007, 01:59 PM Lions' opponents: Wk. 1 - Raiders, 22nd pass, 26th overall = 284 passing yards (Kitna) Wk. 2 - Vikings, 30th pass, 18th overall = 359 passing yards Wk. 3 - Eagles, 21st pass, 9th overall = 393 passing yards Wk. 4 - Bears, 26th pass, 23rd overall = 215 passing yards Wk. 5 - SKINS, 8th pass, 3rd overall = 76 passing yards :benched: Hmm that sounds pretty good... Yep, I used NET passing yards from boxscores, but your rankings are off according to what I have seen. Where'd you get those? reference: links in http://www.redskinswarpath.com/locker-room/20198-nfl-defense-rankings.html NFL - Statistics by Team - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/stats/byteam?group=Defense&cat=Rankings&conference=NFL&year=season_2007&sort=530&old_category=Total&old_group=Offense) shows passing/rushing ranks. Monksdown 10-12-2007, 02:21 PM NFL Scores: 2007 - Week 6 (http://www.nfl.com/scores) I go to the source. NFL.com, and i looked at their official box scores. Monksdown 10-12-2007, 02:22 PM NFL Game Center: Post Game - Detroit Lions at Washington Redskins - 2007 Week 5 (http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter?game_id=29265&displayPage=tab_gamecenter&season=2007&week=REG5) dmek25 10-12-2007, 02:26 PM good first post, and welcome. i see more of the same defense the skins used against the lions. the packers run the west coast, with just about everything thrown underneath. getting pressure on Favre is a big key this week Monkeydad 10-12-2007, 02:30 PM OK, NFL.com's rankings match mine. Seriously, where'd you find those? :D NFL Stats: by Team Category (http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&role=OPP&offensiveStatisticCategory=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=TEAM_PASSING&season=2007&seasonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=false&Submit=Find) We're ranked 8th in passing, not 15th. Eagles are 21st in pass D, not 12th. And so on... |
