freddyg12 10-15-2007, 02:28 PM Bit of a silly debate here. Tom Brady will have to start sponsoring dog fights AND bet on nfl games to not make the hall of fame at the rate he's going.
On a more positive, perhaps delusional note; Dallas has a bye after next week's Minnesota game. The vikes are no pushover, but it would be a pretty major upset if they beat the pokes. I'm dreaming of an upset!
And while they're at home on their bye week, they watch the Skins upset the Pats!
sandtrapjack 10-15-2007, 02:36 PM NO, there is no secret to why Brady hasn't missed a game all this time. He just doesn't like to get hit. Unless it is from his blind side, Brady will not stand in the pocket, deliver the ball and take a lick. It is crazy, but I am being sincere when I say this, I will be rooting for the Skins when they play the Pats. I hate cheaters and a pussy who is more concerned about being on People magazine.
You should remove that Cowboys helment avatar without hesitation.
TheBigD 10-15-2007, 03:55 PM You should remove that Cowboys helment avatar without hesitation.LOL...I did hesitate as I was typing it and when clicked "Submit Reply". I am sure as soon as the ball is kicked, I won't have the same feelings. What would be perfect, which is the most probable scenario anyways, the Skins D whips NE pretty good, but the offense, as usual, comes up short and lose the game.
BleedBurgundy 10-15-2007, 07:22 PM What is this debate about? Brady is a HOF qb. End of story. Is he a bitch for not taking big shots or is he intelligent enough to know that his team needs him standing upright to be successful...? I'm putting my money on the latter...
GusFrerotte 10-15-2007, 10:04 PM All I have to say after watching the game is that we can count on 3 automatic losses between the two teams. With our decimated O line and Santana out to lunch this season, no way we beat NE and we will be swept by the Boys. It sucks but that is how it looks as of now.

That's the spirit, Gus! Way to focus that negative energy!
GusFrerotte 10-15-2007, 10:14 PM Do you actually think that in our present state that we can beat the Pats or Cowboys? I mean if we came out of GB relativey healthy even with the loss I could have some hope. But we took some losses there that might take a bit of time to heal and a bitch of a AFC road trip coming up. I just don't see it JW.
JWsleep 10-15-2007, 10:29 PM I was referring to the thread title, really--it was supposed to be a thread to make s feel better! ;)
As for the injuries and our chances, I think our D can keep us in it with lots of teams. And they seem to have found a good D against the pass, which is the main weapon of both dallas and the Pats. But, needless to say, we're going to have to stop the run against both these teams--not a real worry against detroit or GB. We'll see. My guess is a split against dallas, and a loss against the pats. But win the games we should and 10-6, 9-7 wildcard is very much in reach, even with a patchwork line. I know this team has blown games in the past. But I feel better about the team this year for 2 reasons: one, Campbell, and two, the D. My point is that I don't think throwing in the towel, or even writing us off as unable to beat the cowroids, is warranted at this point.
GusFrerotte 10-15-2007, 10:37 PM JC is awesome dude, but Santana and co need to get on track, and our O line is decimated. As of NOW we can't beat the hottest teams in the NFL.
MTRedskinsFan 10-15-2007, 11:43 PM This thread is kind of pathetic - it reveals that we're so bad (and we all know it) that rooting for losses elsewhere is all that's left. When I tried to watch Dallas-NE it was too depressing. I can picture the scene two weeks from now when we fail to score a single TD against NE and lose by 40 or 50 pts... Gibbs, completely outwitted and outclassed, staring across the field at Belichick w/ all his players respecting him and showing it in how they play. And then thinking ahead to Dallas, a team not anywhere in the league of NE, but still on a much higher level than Gibbs and Co. I hope there's a shakeup sooner than later, whether Gibbs retires or Snyder starts firing people, it's never too early to start the new era. For one thing, if the front office continues to be totally incompetent and the offense plays like a bunch of pussies, we're likely to lose Campbell to a much better team. There are some very good reasons to make the big changes sooner than later.
