"Let me start by congratulating the Red Sox on winning the American League and getting into the World Series," he said. "This will continue to make an exciting week."

"My focus is on Washington and that's where it needs to be," he said. "They're tough. They've won four and they could have easily won a couple more, so we'll have our hands full. That's all I'm worried about right now."
Washington is 4-2 and has allowed an NFC-low 88 points.

Thought even though Gibbs sounds perplexed in his press conference, you guys might enjoy the respect that Belichick is giving the Redskins.

Did anyone really expect Belichek to talk about how they were going to run over the Redskins, and how dominating a win it will be because they are the superior team...

...and Gibbs to talk about how overrated the Patriots are and how they haven't seen anything such as the likes of Washington, and their undefeated record will come to a stop this weekend?

Come on really?

I dont have a lot of posts because I only speak when something jumps right out at me...now is one of those times. As a former Division I football player and current high school coach, my years of experience allow me somewhat of a unique perspective, maybe an angle that is never quite discussed or noticed, but here are my thoughts for the game:

1. Washington can win this game, dont be surprised if they do: We have come off two really bad games, I think that we are atleast a slightly above average football team with the potential to be really good, the odds of an above average team playing three consecutive bad games are very low

2. Throw your stats out of the window, football is a game of who wants it the most on THAT particular game. If you noticed player reactions after the Arizona game our players acted as if they lost...great sign...the mark of a good teams are teams not satisfied with mediocrity. Years past, players would have said that we are just glad we won, not the case this year. If any NE fan out there thinks they are going to roll over the Skins they are sadly mistaken...Washington is going to hit the in their damn mouths believe it

3. Randy Moss will be a non-factor: I say his because I have a safety who is being recruited by some top teir programs this year and is a Sean Taylor fanatic. Having compiled footage of Taylor since his debut in the NFL, pay special attention to Randy Moss's stats against the Skins since Taylor has been safety. Moss has proven to be scared of Taylor, on several occassions he has displayed "alligator arms" against Taylor, he has even been ROCKED about three times (ie Raiders game twice ND ONCE REALLY BAD WITH MINNESOTA) Taylor is the only safety in the league who can match up, even surpass Moss's athleticism running downfield and good luck to Moss in a jumpball situation over Taylor

4. NE hasnt played even close to a defense as fierce and fast as Washington...write it down...if Washington can loosen up offensively we can win. Campbell will NEED to attempt 30+ passes...mark my words this will be his coming out party...

5. If Washington can score 24+ points we win. Either you are on crack, haven't played or don't know anything about football to see that NE aint scoring no damn 30 points on our D

6. On the record...Washington wins this game on a late field goal by Suisham..take it to the bank 5-2 bound..Hail!!!

I'll take that bet! Are you willing to bet your car, your house and all that is hallowed?

I'm still trip'n on the fact that the NFL and the general sports press has not really called the pats out on the carpet over this spy-gate thing. I guess honesty and integrity don't count for much these days.

I love this!!!! Excellent!:woot:

It comes down to a bunch of athletic human beings on each team. Football truly is any given Sunday. This will definitely be a tough test for the Redskins, but I am a firm believer that playing teams who are better than you makes you better. Regardless of the outcome, I see this is a blessing in disguise for the Redskins.

NE has had 1 challenge game this entire year and that was against dallas and despite what the end numbers of the game show New England could have just as easily lost that game as won it. Now imnot saying that we are going to win but to say that NE is a better football team is the losing spirit that we better hope the players do not have. If we consider he game a loss then it will be a loss, dont give up so early. We have to be thinking we are the biggest baddest mothers out there and that we are going to show them up and give them one hell of a game.

They have a great offense but they do not have a great defense. People have been scoring points against them.

I believe they are ranked 3 and we are 4

try that with welker in the middle and he might end up in the injured reserved

My friend Welker lives in the middle. The guy is unbelievably quick and doesn't take big hits
