So what is a good mark of success?

I think at least 12,500 now

If someone gets 12500, they are no doubters. There are only 7 players all time to reach that mark. Players like John Riggins and Jim Brown would be left off too.
I now think that 10k is too low cause it does mean someone like Dunn could make it, and he doesn't deserve it.
I would use 11k as the mark. There are only 16 of them at this point, and the ONLY person you could argue is not a hall of famer is Cory Dillon. But more than likely he will make it.

I think he might have meant 9 total in a season.

As I said before Warrick Dunn really hasn't been a guy that makes the highlight reel all to often. He doesen't make a big splash like a lot of other players. And I was switching between the San Diego game and the Atlanta game and LT is either really close or has the 10,000 yard mark already. Look how fast LT made that mark and look how much time it took Warrick Dunn to get it. Dunn only has 5 1,000 yard seasons out of 10 years in the NFL.

He is a consistent player and a game breaker at one time with TB.
Not a HOF'er yet, but if he can play a few more years, why not.

Also, If you are one of the people that believe guys like michael irvin shouldnt be in the HOF because of his off the field problems, then Dunn is a first ballot hall of famer for what he has done. He is an better person than he is a football player.

Retire today, and no he's not a HOFer. However, if he can put in 4-5 more years, he could quite well be a HOFer.

However, he pretty much got screwed Touchdown wise in both places he's been. In Tampa, they gave the ball to Mike Alstott in goal line situations. And while he's scored more for the Falcons, he's had to content with Michael Vick, TJ Duckett and Jerious Norwood for TDs.

He's approaching 14,000 total yards in 10+ seasons. He's a workhorse when the teams he plays on let him carry the ball. It'll all depend on how he's used from here on out.

SO if he gets 12000 yards for his career, is a hall of famer?
