Hey guys,
I don't follow college much. Too many games/players to keep track of, etc. At this moment both WVU and Mizzou are losing. I'm just curious, with Tech's womping of BC today in the ACC championship, is there a chance they could leapfrog either OSU, Georgia, or Kansas for the Championship game?

I don't see how they could. With OSU getting one spot, I don't know how you can make a case for VaTech over a 2 loss SEC team (particularly one who thrashed them in Blacksburg) or a one loss Kansas team. But let's see what the voters and computers collectively decide.
Oh yeah, Oklahoma is in there too.

They lost at LSU actually, but yeah, because of that one they shouldn't get in.

Georgia and Kansas wont get in because they didnt even win their division let alone the confrence so they are out, so it comes down to LSU or Virginia Tech and since LSU did blow them out in Baton Rouge I would have to say that the nod should go to LSU.

If the Vols would've beaten LSU today....this thing really would've been even a bigger mess, and VT may have had a shot...but you can almost surely bet LSU will be in. It's what the BCS wants to happen.

I wouldn't be so sure. VT just beat two top 25 teams, I don't think Kansas beat one in their time. I can see OSU, VT, LSU, Georgia all shooting for a spot.

VT over Kansas fine, but I can't think of any criteria that would qualify VT over LSU or even Oklahoma. The ACC sucks and VT got throttled by LSU.

Early in the year is much different than late, both by the computers and by human voters. I'd rather have a team that's hot now in the championship than a team that was hot in September.

Well the ACC is really bad. I'm not really sold at all on VT. As for playing in the National Championship, they still have a shot. I mean it would be a really close call and I don't think they would get #1 but they could get #2. I for one think it's going to be Ohio State getting spanked by another SEC team because when LSU is healthy, they are nasty.

LSU lost twice in triple OT, so I'd think they would get the spot...either way this is all extremley anti-climactic and I'm losing alot of interest in this college football season.
