There are a bunch of new postings at Youtube from the early 80s. These seem to be complete games. Check it out now. Here's a sample:

And, in case you had forgotten what home field sounds like:

I had to post this as well. The game winning pass, from Theismann to Washington looks awfully like Collins to Betts, which kind of throws the Gibbs/Saunders conventional wisdom on it's head.

I think there are 5 or 6 whole games there divided into 12 to 15 seperate posts per game.

Mods delete. NFL has enforced its prerogative.

The NFL pisses me off when they limit access for footage that die hards would pay for. I'd willingly pay for a full game DVD for the following games:
All 3 Redskins Super Bowl wins
All 5 NFC Championship victories
Riggo's "take a bow" game vs the Vikes in the '82 playoffs
Playoff win at Chicago in '87 (Darrell Green's return)
Playoff win at Philly in '90 (revenge for the Body Bag game)
Both Dallas wins in 2005
Bottom line, the NFL has left untapped revenue on the table by not making whole games available to the general public.

I don't understand either why the NFL is so fussy about enforcing their copyright in regards to this old game footage. They used to allow games to be sold on ebay but then they put a stop to it. Do they have something up their sleeves? If so I wish they'd hurry up and do something. I've sent e-mails to NFL and NFL Films about this but no response. Maybe I should write a real letter.
