There is no right tackle on the team better than Jansen, so he has to start. I think he needs to start doing some Ray Brown yoga to avoid these injuries.

Not much you can do to prevent broken bones.

Jansen starts. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll break his thumbs again next year. Everyone said he played great when those damn clubs on his hands.

If Jansen is healthy, then he's starting no doubt. IMO he's our second best run blocker behind RT. I think we should just hold on to Heyer and groom him slowly.

Yea, its not like Jansen is falling apart via tears, pulls, etc. He had a ankle broken in half, his thumbs broken in half. He needs to be in there next year w/out question.

Besides who's a better alternative? I'll take my chances w/ Jansen, a true redskin.

Hayer and Wade are both better than Jansen. He was a solid player 4 years ago but he was really declined these last couple of years. I was watching him very closely this preseason and he couldn't block anybody. Gibbs covered him up by always keeping the tight end in. But we all know you can't have a good offense when you keep everyone in to block and don't send any people out in routes. We need to draft a RT and a guard.Jansen had a great game against Julius Peppers toward the end of last season. That alone tells me that he has something left in the tank and should be starting next season.

Jansen isn't a top 5 RT but he is in the top 15. He is a great run blocker and w/o lefty MB starting that is more important than his pass blocking skills(which are better than average).

This guy is a top 5 RT why else would he get a nice extension. The guy played with 2 casts in his hands last year and held his own, this year went down the drain, also 05 was an injury year. He's had bad luck, when healthy he basically shuts down Strahan and pretty much any other great DE. He has a lot to proof, if the team cuts him they'll regret it.

If Jansen is healthy he's the starter no question.
Mark my words, if Heyer plays well he is our starter next year. Jansen will be our back up and Wade will be gone. The reason Wade will be gone is because, it would cost to much to cut Jansen. Jansen should have been cut this year, instead of that stupid contract that the Redskins gave him.

I would not count on Jansen. Love the guy but let's be realistic. He's always hurt. I think it would be overly reactionary to go for yet another safety in the draft. We do need to replace Taylor but I rank D-line and O-line as being higher on our list of priorities. Just my two cents.

We have some GLARING issues, but biggest of all is that we're the oldest team in the NFL. We're only getting older. This means we have a lot of holes to fill. If Jansen is healthy, he'll play, but we need a young back up plan.
