I dunno about you, but the offense looked the same. JC threw deep plenty of times.
This is the Al Saunders OffenseBozzy 12-16-2007, 11:57 PM I dunno about you, but the offense looked the same. JC threw deep plenty of times. JWsleep 12-17-2007, 12:03 AM Oh please. When we win it's Al; when we lose Joe. We get it already. Shut up. Yup. That about sums it up. Dirtbag59 12-17-2007, 12:58 AM So is Todd Collins still 1337? HOGTIMUS PRIME 12-17-2007, 01:50 AM It looks more like to me that Saunders finally has a QB who has the head to run his offense. GTripp0012 12-17-2007, 01:54 AM Well, TC was 8/25 for 6+ y/a today. Not a great day for the offense, but good enough to keep us in it. Give all the credit to the defense. While the offense worked to keep us around, the defense made it not even close. MTRedskinsFan 12-17-2007, 02:17 AM I think the real meaure of Saunders/Collins will come next week in MN. The weather tonight in NY limited what they could put together (as it would any offense), but next week we'll have an indore setting on turf. As to the play-calling, yeah I think Saunders is definitely openning things up but, just as Gibbs has said explicitly in the past, he does "influence" what goes on offensively. bertoskins2 12-17-2007, 09:03 PM face it, TC + AS offense = effective JC + AS offense = will take time ncskinsfanec 12-17-2007, 09:08 PM I still think Campbell is the route to take when healthy, but Collins has been very effective these past two games. I feel better about Collins decision making, and he just seems to make smart decisions out there. Campbell clearly has more upside, but Collins is certainly very capable. ncskinsfanec 12-17-2007, 09:14 PM It looks more like to me that Saunders finally has a QB who has the head to run his offense. Come on, Collins has been in Saunders' system for what 7 years now, and Campbell has only been in it for two. Collins is a 37 year old vet who's seen it all, and Campbell is a 25 year old kid who's still learning. From what I hear Campbell is extremely bright and will only get better. Don't insinuate to me that he doesn't have the "head" to run this offense, young QB's just take time. GMScud 12-17-2007, 09:15 PM It's gonna be fun to see how Collins can move the ball against a bad Minnesota secondary in a dome with NO WIND this Sunday. We're gonna need to throw to open up the run, because the Vikes have the best run D in all the land. The way we were clicking last night, we could have scored 40 if the elements weren't factored in. I think this is closer to how Al's offense should look. I'm still annoyed by the realization that he was tapering his playbook while JC was starting. |
