GRIMM INTERVIEW CONFIRMED
Despite a report suggesting that our own report regarding rumors of a Friday interview by the Redskins of Cards offensive line coach Russ Grimm are wr-wr-wr-bogus, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that, indeed, Redskins owner Dan Snyder and V.P. of football operations Vinny Cerrato met with Grimm in Arizona.
We can't, and won't, take credit for "reporting" this. We heard a rumor to that effect, and couldn't confirm it. So while we appreciate the fact that Ryan O'Halloran of the Washington Times attributed the item to us (http://washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080112/SPORTS01/873902465/1005/SPORTS) as a "report," it simply wasn't.
But, in fairness, there are reports that Grimm wasn't interviewed on Friday. Per Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, "There have been rumors today that Grimm had either traveled to Washington to interview or that Redskins owner Daniel Snyder was flying to Phoenix to talk to him. Turns out neither one is true (http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/KentSomers/14504)."

I think we all forget, this should be a long process...and don't forget we HAVE to interview a minority. No one can pick a coach right away anymore.
Also, I would wait until after the super bowl to select someone cause you never know who might want to leave a playoff team after they win or lose. It usually pays to be patient.
