I don't know about comeback player of the year, but Shaun Alexander and Larry Johnson certainly get my vote for comedown players of the year.

It should have been WR Bobby Engram of the Seattle Seahawks. He missed eight games last year with Graves Disease. Lost 20 pounds. This year he comes back at age 34 and has his first 1,000-yard season, catches 94 passes (a team record).
