Yeah I don't see the need to rush it either. Obviously you want someone in place soon so they can begin working on the offseason stuff. Seems like GW is pretty much a lock at this point.
You don't meet with a guy 4 times unless there's some pretty serious interest there.
Knowing that, Snyder is just feeling things out, seeing who's out there, doing some networking perhaps, and maybe eyeballing some possible new assistants and/or front office folks.
I think its a bad sign that DS keeps meeting with GW. I get the feeling that DS does not really want GW but keeps bringing him in in an attempt to convince himself that GW is the guy even though he does not want him.

Or they are running over different senarios for posable assisstants to take his place or other people who may not be staying with the team if GW does become the coach.

I'm shocked you would look at things that way. ;)
I believe if Snyder had other plans and wasn't targeting GW, why would he waste his time with 4 interviews?
He's been spending a ton of time with him, Snyder didn't become a successful businessman by not trusting his gut. I just can't imagine someone like him wasting his time on something that he didn't believe in 100%.
Would you meet with a potential employee 4 times just to convince yourself he's the right person?? I know I wouldn't... in fact I would know pretty early on whether that person was a serious candidate or not.

I'd like to see it as soon as possible to see what happens with Saunders, so we can move with another OC in case he decides to leave. I'm afraid the good OC's will disappear and if we lose Saunders then we'll be screwed.

I say monday at the earliest, or maybe later in the week to coincide w/super bowl hype.
I agree w/Matty, I think the multiple interviews are a good indication that GW is the man & they must be ironing out some serious biz. the one thing I fear is that they are giving great discussion to booting AS. I hope Snyder is requiring that he stay, maybe there's discussion related to that too & how they will proceed in 09 when AS' contract is up.

Why are they taking so much time though? He's been around GW for 4 years. I would bet that something isn't going as planned and this could be a bad sign.

They could be working out how much involvement GW would have in personnel matters, who they are going to keep on the coaching staff as well as finding potential replacements. I'd imagine there could be a ton of stuff to work through. Since getting burned by Spurrier Snyder has taken on a meticulous and careful approach to finding new coaches and this seems to fall in line with that.
I just don't see why the would continue to meet if Williams wasn't a serious candidate.

I'm not saying GW isnt a serious candidate, he is. I am saying that something in DS's gut is telling him GW isnt the guy and he keeps having these meetings trying to convince himself otherwise.
