Campbell or Romo?

This is a good and very fair question. At this point of time it is very difficult to answer. Romo had a great year no doubt, and Campbell made great strides. I feel like Campbell has more of the prototypical QB skillsets. He's a tall strong pocket passer with enough scrambles to keep a defense honest. Romo is a great improviser.

If all things were equal and they were getting the same salary, drafted the same year, same play time, and most importantly same offense, I feel Campbell would win out. But at this point, I think Romo is a bit ahead of Campbell.

Romo is more accomplished at this point but he's also got the advantage of being in the league longer and he's got more starts. Kinda tough to evaluate them both on the same level.

Not even close, Romo wins hands down.

Romo looks and plays like a legitimate NFL QB, Campbell still looks and plays lke a college QB.

romo only plays well sometimes, he looks like complete garbage other times. campbell looks almost the same every week, not as good as romo when romo is hot but not as bad as romo when romo is struggling.

Well, to me, it's more about Garrett vs Saunders. Give Campbell the full reign of the offense, and he'll produce for you. We have yet to see him unleashed fully. Garrett let Romo run wild with the offense and Romo produced. Overall, pure talent wise, I'd still take Campbell...but the point is moot if Campbell doesn't get full control of the offense. If Romo didn't have full control, we'd be talking about how mediocre he is.
I'd like one more year to be able to answer this question with certainty cause we just haven't had the time to witness what Campbell can do when given the offense.

Romo still throws too many INTs for my taste. And I don't like the way he loses his cool when things aren't going his way.

About the INT's...that's somewhat true. He does have a lot of int's, but he had 17 more tds than INT's. SOmetimes when you take chances, you get burnt. Campbell wasn't even unleashed and had 11 ints in 13 games. By the numbers, it's a lower percentage, but not sure he would have had that better precentage if Saunders gave him full control of the offense. Plus Campbell only had 1 more td than int. I'm not saying I'd go for Romo, I wouldn't. I think Campbell has more talent overall, I'm just saying we would all not care about the INT's if Campbell had 36 tds.
I do agree with you about his cool, and that is something Campbell has over him by far. Campbell always stays cool. I just hope campbell can develope a killer instinct and actually win us a game when we are behind.

Jerry Jones may regret the day he gave that kind of money to a guy who has yet to prove he can win in the post season. Seems like ol' Jerry got swept up in the hype surrounding Romo in the first half of this season and gave him the keys to the kingdom before he earned them over the long haul. NFL history has seen tons of QB's who either were one hit wonders or put up nice stats in the regular season but couldn't get it done in the playoffs. Romo is now being paid as an elite QB. If Romo is a flash in the pan it could get really bad in Dallas in a hurry...we can hope.

The jury is still out on Campbell being able to win or be effective in the post season too but Snyder wont have to make that ultimate decision on his future with the skins for a few more years.

I love JC, but I haven't ssen any poise or cool headedness yet. He has thrown some costly picks. We were winning at the end because TC didn't throw picks (except in Seattle, of course). Slight edge to Romo here, but Campbell has more upside...
