That seems like a REALLY short period of time to be considered common law. Just looked it up and only 11 states and DC still follow common law. 26 don't anymore and 13 never did. Yea I had a ex I was staying with she took me to court and we had to get a divorce before I could get married for real. I hope they discontinue that law asap that was hell to deal with. |
