HAHAHA. Strong legged! That's funny.

Suisham has been pretty good for us, so might as well keep him than return to the revolving door at kicker we've had in the past.
Also, he had an 82.9% FG% last season, which is very good. His 82% over his short career ranks 10th all time. Hard to believe, but it's true. BTW, he has an 84.1% FG% with the Skins, which would rank 5th all time if he had only kicked for us.
I am not thrilled that he can't hit from long range. His long was a 50 this past season, and he barely made it. We have all seen his short kickoffs too. However, I'll take an accurate kicker all day long with 5 yards less on his kicks than someone that can hit it from 65 and is all over the place.
I would love to see us hire a big kicker to do JUST kickoffs though. They don't need to be accurate, just boom it.
All in all, I like the idea of keeping him, and at only 26 years old, he is still plenty young enough to develope more strength.

I believe that 50 yarder was against the Giants in the 2nd meeting in a driving wind. I was pretty impressed with that myself.

Kickers are all about momentum, Suisham hasn't shown this yet but i am not to upset that we re-signed him.

So, for some reason, you are impressed with his bottom 5 or 10 leg power. Other that the 50 yarder "into the wind", why do you think he has a powerful leg? Did you miss the kickoffs that would wind up at the 10 yard line, and a couple that were close to the 15 yard line? Or how about the few that he had from 45-48 that barely made it over?
Here's your chance to convince us he has a powerful leg, cause you are certainly in the minority.

ps- keep in mind I said it was a good move, even gave stats to back it up.

Matty, I know you took that line out of the article that you linked to. But you know what's funny is they've since changed the wording

Well, it was from your original post. I'm guessing then you do not think he has a powerful leg? Even though you were impressed by a 50 yard kick which I recall didn't seem to be into too much wind although the beginning of the game did have howling wind.

I just copied and pasted the first paragraph of the article on Skins.com. They obviously have edited it now for whatever reason.

I wouldn't call his leg powerful but he's certainly got enough leg to get the job done.

Check the highlights on the 50 yarder, the wind was pretty nasty and he drilled it.

If were going to get another kicker at any point, I'd prefer to do it via free agency (I wouldnt have minded Josh Brown this year, idk if there was any interest on either end as he went to STL).

Suisham is an average kicker, nothing more, nothing less. He made a few big kicks for us this year (Miami, NYJ winners)...but in the end, that miss in Seattle will stick in my mind for a while and I dont exactly bleed confidence when he lines up...but at the same time, he's probaboly our best avalabile option, and I know I like him better than Novack or Hall.

Do you think he'll be doing kickoffs again too, or will we sign someone to do that duty?
