I'd rather draft a sure thing, rather than waste a 1st round pick ona a bust..

IF Kenny Phillips is the BPA when its 21, I say we grab him.. THen you aren't stuck if you were to take a chacne on a guy and it didnt work out..

I would rather draft a CD every year in the 1st round if that means we ar egoing to get a STUD in the 1st .

at least we are getting studs with the DB picks... we arent so HOT with Dline picks or WRs in the draft... So i say we go for the sure thing..

I'd rather have a Pro bowl DB in the 1st in every draft instead of drafting a bust one year and a good player the next.. Im the BPA type of person, cus then you arent stuck reaching

I dont like demps, mainly because I always thought he was horrible in New York, I didnt see him play last year.

Plus Im on the 'Draft Kenny Phillips' band wagon

I would love to see us maybe even rotate the positions that we target in the first round. It was said that 4 out of 5 years we've drafted DBs. I love the results, but maybe we should draft a lineman in the first round once in a while, just to mix things up.

Doughty did a great job stepping in this year but lets be realistic, we need to improve
that position. Demps would be a good addition, but no one compares to ST.

Demps would be a good depth pickup since it looks like we could end up losing guys like Prioleau and Stoutmire.

Demps is not a real good safety. I remember him being burned several times when he played for NYG. Let's hope Reed can step in and play solid and build from last year's experience.

I agree...also, I saw him out of position several times with the Texans last year. But to get a guy strictly for depth, well, it's not like we're going to get a great player. We just need someone with experience that is servicable. Demps can do that. I don't see him beating out Reed though.

Unless we're talking about a 6'2" 310lb guard walk on from Florida right? :D

you didn't have to take me so literal..

That's pretty obvious... but our DB's have been studs, not busts..

When we draft WR, we DONT draft well..
When we draft a d-lineman, we haven't done as well as DB..

So thats what I mean I'd rather have a stud aka (Sean Taylor,Carlos Rogers, LaRon LAndry) vs any of the WR we have drafted since the early 90's. We seem to have an eye for defensive talent, and in the draft, not so much for offensive weapons, or the Dline.

Pretty much what I'm saying is, I'da rather use a 1st round pick on someone who we think can step right in and make an impact, just like LaRon, Rogers, And Taylor have done. I dont care if we use all our 1st round picks from here on out on DB's, as long as they are worth that pick, i'll take that all day long.
