Zards got smoked by the Pistons tonight, it was ugly
Wizards’ Arenas Nears Return From Knee SurgerySmootSmack 04-12-2008, 01:14 AM Zards got smoked by the Pistons tonight, it was ugly mooby 04-14-2008, 10:51 PM Wizards still have a chance to get home-court advantage over the Cavs since they won and the Cavs lost tonight. Anybody else excited about our chances against the Cavs in the playoffs this season? I'd like our chances even more if we got home-court advantage. If the Cavs lose to the Pistons (which there is a good chance they will given the way they've been playing) and the Wiz beat Orlando (not such an easy task) then we'll be in good shape for the playoffs. Personally I would have been happier playing Orlando rather than playing Cleveland, because LBJ showed everyone last year his one man show, and since they traded for some guys at the break now he has some others who can score. The reason that I would have rather faced Orlando is because of the physical way Brendan Haywood played against him, he also did a great job of defending him, if Gil and Caron are healthy, we could make a deep run in the playoffs no matter who we play. mooby 04-14-2008, 11:29 PM What the F? Are the refs f'n serious? They handed the Cavs the game against the '6ers. I'm feeling pretty pissed off right now, I was sitting here thinking the Cavs lost 89-90 and then I get on NBA.com and it says they won 91-90. So I'm thinking there must be some mistake or something, so I watch the highlights on Comcast Sportsnet and they said that someone called a foul with like .2 of a second left on the clock and the dude sank them both to give the Cavs the win. What kind of m.f.ing bullshit is that? The game was f'n over. The refs literally just took the opportunity for home-court advantage away from the Wizards. This just pisses me off. If LeBron was the guy who was "fouled" it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Sickening. Although Cleveland's next game is against Detroit, and I doubt the Pistons would play their key guys very much given the 2 seed is a foregone conclusion. It was nice to see Blatche, Mason Jr, and Nick Young play so well tonight for the Wiz. They had a better record before the trade. They've hovered around .500 ever since. mooby 04-14-2008, 11:52 PM If LeBron was the guy who was "fouled" it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Sickening. I believe he was, he was driving in the paint with like a second left on the clock and then there was a whistle, but they continued playing and he missed the shot and then somebody put the rebound in but the clock had already expired before he shot it. So the '6ers assumed they had the game won and went to the locker room, but the refs looked it over and gave him two foul shots and they both went in. What a HUGE joke. My god. That was one of the worst things I've ever seen. And they get that call on the road no less. Unf-ingbelievable. In fairness didn't something very similar happen with Agent Zero last year (against the Warriors I think) SmootSmack 04-15-2008, 12:22 AM Here's what I was thinking of NBA.com Arenas’ Free Throws Cap Wild Finish in D.C.
