This is a GOOD reason why we shouldn't touch a WR in the 1st.

for every good scouting report, there is another bad one. i guarantee there are more teams out there that would love to have Cromartie on their team, then not. and the player in this draft that i think is running the biggest sham, is Howie Longs son. the guy is no where near the player that people are predicting to be a first rounder. had 2 or 3 games, max, that was outstanding in. all the other games, he disappeared. just a workout guy. too me, very similar to Mike Mumula. anyone remember him?

Long is absolutely a first round pick. Maybe not an overall number one, but who is in this draft? The money difference between the first pick and the 31 is not nearly the difference in talent this year.

Vinny Cerrato siad, that he does not think that there is a reciever, in this draft, that is worth a first round draft choice. Maybe, he is just trying to throw other teams off, but that is what he said.

I feel like Vinny does and we can pick Talib in the 1st, Quentin Groves or Lawrence Jackson in the 2nd round, and I feel that Devin Thomas will still be there.

W/all due respect, I think you either haven't watched much UVA football, or if you have you don't pay attention to the line play or listen to the commentators when they talk about how Long was getting double teamed or how he penetrated the line and forced a running play the other way.

I watched a good no. of uva games & Chris Long has played lights out the past 2 years. He's got a great motor, good size, strength & speed & good moves. He'll struggle like most rookies do in the nfl, as he'll have to learn how to use his hands to keep OTs from holding him or locking him up, but he looks like a solid nfl player at least.

A "workout guy" is usually someone a little short on game production, that's not the case for Long. He's got game film & stats to go along w/his combine workout.

Devin Thomas has Brandon Lloyd II, written all over him, he had on good year, has way too many drops, "Only one productive year in major college football. ... Will need to prove he's a legitimate downfield threat. ... Doesn't always make the tough deep catch that the best receivers do. ... Tries to do too much at times, dancing after the catch instead of heading upfield. ... Could sustain better when blocking larger safeties and linebackers." Here is a link:NFL Events: Combine Player Profiles - Devin Thomas (http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/devin-thomas?id=1036&campaign=gsi_g)

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, corners. Alright time for my latest bunch of propoganda.

Bob Sanders and Troy Polamlu. By the way does anyone even know off the top of their head who the starting corners are for the Colts and Steelers? Also the last time we took a corner in the draft we passed up on Shawn Meriman.

Interesting theory, safeties are the new corners. Especially in a cover two style defense where the corners don't have to match up man-to-man. But, you still have to have decent corners. I think the Colts have knack for evaluating good db's because of Dungy.

Without research i can name Kelvin Hayden, Marlin Jackson, and Tim Jennings. I have no clue who the Steelers corners are though. (I must admit i was in a fantasy football league that kept individual defense player stats.)
--Good point.

Is this a joke? While I'm not going to predict his pro career, he was flat out AMAZING in college. We're talking about a 3-4 defensive end here who was constantly fighting off double teams. He carried that team on his back, and without him they maybe win 5 games. To say that he's not even a first rounder shows a complete lack of knowledge on the subject.

Alot of people pay to work out with Darrell Green, thats how he makes his money these days.. He has taught a lot of prospects coming int othe draft, he has a webpage. I think Welcome to Darrell Green.com (http://www.darrellgreen.com) but I see darrell around here in newport news sometimes like a year or so ago cus he would come watch his son play football.

BULLLLLSHIT,, Chris Long is the safest pick in this draft. HE can be used in SO many positions on your team, and his character and work ethic is AWESOME. He can be a stand up linebacker, he can rush off the edge, he can do it all. I wish there was somehow we could land Chris because he will be a GREAT player for years to come. You dont grow up with a pedigree like that and then go and play football like he did for UVA, and then bust in the NFL. IT's not gonna happen, his work ethic is TOO strong and his dad and who knows has been grooming him since he was born to be here.
