we need to be aggressive and make some trades happen. Trade up and get into the top 10!

Harvey would be a very solid pickup. Something about him I just don't like though. Can't figure it out.

I know what you mean. I don't trust players from UF not named Tebow :D

Kentwan Balmer is still a strong possibility. Though I think they'd rather pick up someone like Trevor Laws in round 2

I'm starting to sense a Trevor Laws man crush sweeping across the forum. Personally I like Laws as well and if the Redskins choose to adress the 3 technique in round 2 then it's obvious that Laws will probably be the guy, but the problem is theres a huge dropoff in talent after rounds 1 and 2 at CB and WR, which a lot of people have pointed out as being high priority positions in the eyes of the coaches and the front office this offseason.

Plus the need for a versitle lineman to possibly develop as a starter in round 3 makes offensive line a virtual lock for a pick in one of the first 3 rounds. McGlynn seems like the logical choice given that he's solid prospect and posseses the ability to play all 5 spots on the offensive line. However Felton reminds me a lot of Dockery, from his pre draft grades, his size, all the way to his style of play and I can't help but think the front office has already noticed this.

On top of that the draft is very deep at defensive line, especially when compared to last years class. If I had to guess I'd say that there will be a handful of starting defensive lineman that will emerge from day 2 picks this time around.

nothing we havent all talked about on here, they mentioned that Mix is getting a chance, said our obvious needs. Kiper said Linas s. is a reach and should go round 2 becuase he hasnt played since October and didnt look smooth in practice. And Harvey would be a good pick

and that 'itll be nice to hear the redskins name on draft day"

Doesn't ANYONE think we need to take a wide receiver in the 1st round?? What are your thoughts about that? Sweed? Kelly? Thomas? Jackson? Hardy? Doucet? I honestly don't know why, but my heart is set on getting a wide receiver in the 1st round. Some of you have said Jordy Nelson in the 2nd round...maybe that is their plans instead. Kiper still has us grabbing Talib in the 1st- my heart and brain tell me that is a BIG mistake. Cromartie or Cason is a better pick than that at Cornerback.

I have an idea. We should set a date...maybe April 24th or so and everyone should submit their draft projections...1-7th rounds. You get 1 point if you guess right for the 1st round...2 points for the 2nd round and so on...highest point total wins the honor of being named "Redskin Draft Guru" for 2008. I offer to tally everyone's projected lists and post them here.

Lol, you can't say 'some of you' have said Jordy in the 2nd round because thats all on me. Right now I'm starting to get the vibe that the Skins might not address the recieving position with their first 4 picks. In fact the only way would be if Jordy sliped to them in the third, which is possible, but I don't know how likely that scenario is.

It's very possible that a lot of those recievers you mentioned could slip to the early 2nd round like Rice and Jarret did last year so a slide like that could prevent teams from reaching on a guy like Jordy leaving him wide open for us to pickup in the third round, which for me would be a dream come true, given that one of the first two picks was a G like Rachel or Albert.

My dream scenario would be

1st - Branden Albert - G - UVA
2nd - Reggie Nelson - CB/S - Oklahoma
3rd - Jordy Nelson or Dre Moore
3rd comp - Wallace Gilberry - DE - Alabama

Here's a link to the package Washington Redskins On the Clock - ESPN Video (http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3314419&categoryId=2378529&n8pe6c=2)

I can't see us coming away from the 1st 2 rounds without a WR pick.. From what I see that's our #1 need..
