Don't look foreward to opening up against the SBC on the road. It will give us a good idea of where we are early.
Skins get season opener against giants Sept 4, Thursday p.m. game.Longtimefan 03-26-2008, 08:30 PM Don't look foreward to opening up against the SBC on the road. I dont think we did since San Diego in 2001 (lord knows that didnt go well)...but I think we will be playing a real tough game, and this should be a good test for us, and like longtime just said, this hsould let us know where we are at pretty quickly. billyredskin 03-26-2008, 09:08 PM Tivo the damn thing then. By the way...the last 2 times the Giants won the Superbowl ('86 & '90), who won the year after? 3's a charm. lwiedy 03-26-2008, 10:16 PM From AP: "The Super Bowl winner traditionally hosts the game. The Redskins’ participation was confirmed by a person familiar with the NFL schedule who spoke on condition of anonymity because the league has not announced it." I must have slept through our 2002 Super Bowl Championship. Jokes aside, I think I like playing the "champs" in this situation. Lots of hype around the heroes, they sometimes lose sight of the game. That and our history in such games ('83, '88, '92) is just horrible. saden1 03-27-2008, 02:27 AM I would be very, very, surprised if the Skins win the game. BigSKINBauer 03-27-2008, 02:30 AM I was just saying to my friend i wished that the skins got the opening game. it would be much better at home but whatever, I might just make the trip up there for the game. Giantone 03-27-2008, 04:23 AM ... and for the Redskins to go 19-0. NOW, that is all. The Giants denied the last team to try and they will deny the Skins.:goodjob: MTK 03-27-2008, 08:45 AM I would be very, very, surprised if the Skins win the game. Nice to see the glowing optimism already. We beat them in NY last year, so why not again this year? jbcjr14 03-27-2008, 08:56 AM How can you even think about predicting the outcome of a game right now? This just kills me...we have the complete offseason, injuries and all kinds of other stuff to get through before we even think about Sept 4th and whether or not they would win or not. Making any predictions right now is definitely ri-goddamn-diculous. |
