HOGTIMUS PRIME 04-03-2008, 04:37 PM Yeah from the sound of things Blache is pushing hard for a DL. And Blache is not the kind of guy you want to piss off.
I am sure everyone in the skins organazation is very scared of him.

Snyder: Excuse me Mr. Blache, um we've decided that we'd be better off trading for Chad Johnson instead of drafting Phillip Merling.
Blache:http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj304/DirkXXVI/6wzwxo4.gif
Snyder: um I uh was just kidding...ha ha...see funny huh....huh?....I mean we would never take a premadonna like Chad over a Defensive Lineman....I mean it was Vinny's idea
(Snyder runs away)
jsarno 04-03-2008, 05:20 PM Of course, I like Marcus Monk, but he's a 5th rounder or so. If we're going to go for a WR in the 1st or 2nd, I'd like to see us pick up Limas Sweed.
He shaved off .08 off his 40 time and is running at 4.40. He has very good size at 6'5" or 6'4" depending on the source, and Kiper ranks him as the #5 best wr in the draft. When watching his games, I think he has better NFL talent. He could work on routes (who couldn't) but he finds the ball very well, and uses his body very well.

I agree, but does anyone know the condition of Limas Sweed's wrist?
SeanTaylor21 04-03-2008, 06:08 PM If you're talking about Manningham the answer is no. He's list at 6'0 1/4 inch. Yes I know he's still small but at the same time he's the best playmaker from that group and it's possible that his ability might make the front office look past the fact that the he's not a "big" guy. However if Vinny's serious aboth the 2nd teir of Recievers then the canidates are Manningham, Nelson, Donnie Avery (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/donnieavery.html), Earl Bennett (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/earlbennett.html), Jerome Simpson (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/jeromesimpson.html) (This is a guy I would look at very carefully, if the Skins pass on Jordy and Manningham then this guy might be the next best thing), and Harry Douglas (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/harrydouglas.html)
Jerome Simpson will be a great red zone target in the NFL, didn't he have like the second biggest hands in the Senior Bowl.

here is a site that talks about it:
Limas Sweed, WR, Texas - 2008 NFL Draft Scout Profile, Powered by The SportsXchange (http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=8826)
I don't know about the validity since it's sweed himself saying it...but he is saying it's 100% healed, it's just the range of motion he will need to work on, and we don't start playing football until august so he'll have plenty of time.

Thanks for the link, I never knew that he weighed 215, I thought he was like 190, nice to know he has some bulk, and can hopefully not shy away from contact.

When I watch his highlights, I watch his footwork and his ability to go after the ball...he looks very polished. Route running is about the only thing we should have a concern about and that will easily come with time. He uses his body very well.
30gut 04-04-2008, 09:17 AM Isn't he 5'10". We need a big target not another small receiver.
No we don't need a 'big' target, we need a good receiver
