Sorry dude, I must have missed that. Where'd he go and who does that leave for 3rd string?
Went to Cincinnati after the Skins cut him. That leaves third string up for grabs. Hollenbach actually played at UMD. The guy from Europe was Casey Bramlett, who also landed in Cincinnati (or Miami, or both) for a time, but not sure where he is now. Maybe Miami? Maybe selling insurance. Certainly a quick Google search would probably answer my questions but I don't think I care enough about any of those guys to do one.

Dido. I do care who Zorn might like in the draft though. Honestly, I can't get excited about a drafted QB because my expectations for JC are so high, but if Zorn is going to stay a while this could be a huge decision.

Kevin O'Connell - College Football (http://nfldraft.rivals.com/cviewplayer.asp?sport=1&player=6766&type=scoutingreport#scouting)
Kevin O' Connell doesn't seem to be a bad choice. I think he would be available in the latter half of the draft...maybe from 4th to 6th rounds. Whatever QB is chosen it is a must that they be able to run the WC offense.

Way to contribute Meks.
What don't you like? Why don't you like it? What would you prefer?

Malcom Kelly ran the 40 in 4.75 and 4.68, maybe we could steal him in the second if his draft stock drops.

"The Dolphins have formally begun contract negotiations with agent Tom Condon about the prospect of selecting former Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long as the first overall selection in this year's draft." I thought that the Dolphins would go for Chris Long, and go defensive, but guess they want to build a better o-line.

if kelly is really running that slow AND has horrible knees, i doubt you could call him a steal, even in the bottom of the 2nd.

I sort of like the idea of drafting a QB. I guess it's obvious that J Palmer is not going to develop and Zorn probably has as good an eye for QB talent as the next head coach.
But... it's hard to imagine giving up a first day pick for a QB. Shit, w/ JC and Collins we've got two solid guys and look at the needs: at least 1 olineman (preferably 2), DT, WR, CB and possibly LB. I just don't see where we have room for a first day QB draft choice unless we work a deal giving up later round picks for another early one.
If we give up a first day pick (this year its 1st or second) on a QB, I'm going to be very upset. I do like the idea of drafting one in maybe the 4th or 5th round, and develop them under Zorn, but a first day pick would be insane.
As for an offensive lineman with the #21 pick...I can't say I would be overally excited about that, but I wouldnt hate it either. I would really like to address the areas of need with the first few picks (DL, WR, CB), and than start to get project players that we can develop. Alot depends on how long Buges decides to stay too, I am extremely impressed with his ability to coach up mid-late round talent (or undrafted talent as well). We do have to start thinking about replacing peices along the offensive line, perticularly with Jon Jansen. I really hope he has a few years left, but he has had some NASTY injuries and I think its going to be real tough to come back from them.

They'll probably negotiate with C. Long as well and maybe Gholston and ultimately figure out the best deal for them. Jake Long is definitely a strong possibility but I wouldn't write his name in ink yet
