Freddy, I don't care who the coach is, when your starting QB is Tim Hasselbeck, you're screwed. Of course the same can be said for Shany Matthews and Waffle or whatever his name was.

Could somebody please post the order in which NFL Network had them ranked?

If I had to guess, I'd say Petrino is first, followed by Spurrier, and then Nick Saban. Butch Davis is probably top five, Erickson is probably top seven, and the other guys I think i'm too young to know about considering I don't know who they are. I'm putting Petrino first because the man was such a colossal failure that he left 13 games into his first season as the coach, I think he's the first college coach to do something like that. All the other coaches at least stayed on a full season.

Pete Carroll has to be mentioned here too. If not for his failure in NFL coaching then for his contrasting success when he left the NFL for USC. I think this means that he just doesn't get the pro game at all.

I'd give the top spot to Saban just because of how much of an a-hole he is.

Anyone remember Darryl Rogers, Lions coach back in the day?

at least saban did stay two years unlike patrino who left 12 games into last season.
jimmy johnson is the best nfl coach ever to go into the nfl.he had an asshole as an owner and still won 2 superbowls.

Our man Spurrier was number 3. Oh, and that coach out of Dallas didn't even place. Not Johnson, the other one.

I might if I get a chance to see it but I bet that with Spurrier they showed a lot of Ramsey getting sacked. Maybe a quote from Wilbon saying something like "He didn't protect the QB and he didn't run the ball."
